Picks aren't the end all, be all for trades. It's not just about picks.

Philly would gladly take Dorsey off our hands if we sent them some money and/or a 2nd round pick. Would help get us that much farther away from the luxury tax line.

Sure, what players would those teams send?

BOS - again not going to do it (they're going a different direction)
LAL - Hill? They won't send Randle (especially not getting fair value for him injured). Young? Would you send young out if you were LAL bc I don't think they would.
SAC - they won't trade Melemore, Williams? Does Williams + a late future first new 2015 11-14th pick + KPap or brewer?

I don't think it is career ending either unless there is some other underlying condition which there has been no indication of that.

You hope not as a Rockets fan and fellow human being. But the reality is nerve injuries are unpredictable. Cyber's statement, I suspect, is at least partially informed by NBA team doctors. It's a rare injury. But ask any neurologist - nothing is guaranteed with this kind of injury. He doesn't just have to recover enough strength to walk or run - he has to be an elite basketball player. Career ending May mean that the nerve damage is permanent enough to rob him of his athleticism, it doesn't mean he would be paralyzed.

I am hoping for the best for him. I'm just saying what I know from taking care of non-athletes. And i want him to be well because he deserves a shot to make it, not so we can package him out.

The only appropriate reaction to a potential Josh Smith signing:

Here's another reason why I don't believe DMo goes out for Dragic.

Trade deadline is over a month away. Dwight could be past this issue by then.

McHale should really find the guy who played Dwight too many minutes and have a talk with him.

It's going to flare up and it takes time to heal. The more he plays, the more his body/knee will start to feel comfortable with grind of NBA.

Yeah but if you flip DMo you still have the problem of not having anyone who is a starting quality PF along with no one that is capable to be a backup center.

Why is smith not starting quality? That's the pitch, according to Cyberex.

Black is already backing up Dwight, why can't he keep doing it?

that being said, i'm sure Morey would look into that as well. Wright, possibly. Maybe Hollins, who knows.
