If it means anything to anyone I meet and spoke to josh smith about 3 months ago at a party in Hollywood and he said he really "wanted" to sign with Houston the summer that we signed Dwight! Get it done Morey Les and Dwight! Best Christmas gift this year... Then the Dragon would be an early Bday gift for me! Howard Smith Ariza Harden Dragon DMO Brewer Bev That is a championship caliber team
He's not a stretch four. Other teams will gladly encourage you to make him a stretch four. Thank General Manager Dwight Howard.
I don't think the Rocket have to move BOTH Dmo AND the Pels pick. I think Morey would offer Dmo + NYK 2015 2nd round pick (our best 2nd rounder). Plus filler. Suns don't have as much leverage here with Dragic being a UFA after this season. Again, remember what the Celtics got in the Rondo deal. 2016 1st rounder likely in the 20's PLUS Brenden Wright (who is a UFA after this season).
They'd have to give us at least one first round pick for me to sign off on taking Josh Smith off of anyone's hands. He's actively detrimental to any team he's on.
Why is everybody so convinced this has anything to do with D-Mo and Dragic? Josh Smith is still a major talent. In Detroit he was a sulky and grossly overpaid talent. For the BAE on a contender adding him is a no brainer. Josh Smitn>>>Black and Dorsey

Now this is interesting. They must really want him, Daryl isn't one to give up cap flexibility so easily like that.
I get the feeling that stroking Dwight's EGO is becoming to much of a burden for this organization. Hopefully Morey doesn't sell the future (DMo) to please an offensively flawed star in DHo.
The one thing I have to say about DMo is this...the "hockey assist" in basketball is rarely appreciated...Donatas is terrific at this and part of the reason he helped the Rockets maintain some resemblance of a fluid offense. The addition of a player like Josh will have both positive and negative effects on the offense and defense. This makes it imperative that the Rockets find a way to nab Dragic, eventhough the cost is most likely going to be high (ie. loss of DMo, and pelican's pick)
What if they added Len or Plumlee? DMO/Pels 1st/Canaan/Pap for Dragic/Plumlee? We get a backup C for Howard...
