    If we sign Smith, I think trading Dmo in a package with NOP pick and Shved for Dragic would be a logical move but it would hurt chemistry, I think. Basically adding a whole new bench to this team plus a starter.

    The team would look so good though!

    Harden / Brewer
    Ariza / Pap
    Smith / Jones
    Howard / Smith

    It's not our money. What's the worst that could happen? We could cut him, if needed.

    This reminds me a little of when Rasheed Wallace went to the Pistons. Smith's numbers are ugly but sometimes a new environment and fit can do a 180 for a player's career.

    We need to wait for him to clear waivers, which will be by Wednesday. He then becomes a FA and we can sign him immediately or #soon thereafter

    You wouldn't get Len that is for sure. He was a top 5 pick. Plumlee perhaps, and I am SURE the Rockets would love to have him added but I don't see PHX giving him up. BUT, if the Rockets threw in Capella, MAYBE the Suns would think about adding him. I doubt it though.

    Wright would be exceptional obviously assuming we can make it work.

    Yes, I did forget Brewer, he obviously only adds more depth at the 2/3 and lets the Rockets run out some very unusual line ups.

    A couple other observations, if all this happened, the Rockets would play the passing lanes about as any in the league (Harden/Howard/Brewer/Smith/Bev).

    The Rockets also would have some great athletes inside to finish.

    There you have it. Seems like a done deal to me.

    Let's assume that we get a trade done with PHX for Dragic.

    Dragic / Beverley
    Harden / Shved
    Ariza / Brewer
    Smith / Papanikolaou
    Howard / Black

    I'm concerned that this lineup doesn't have enough shooting. Brewer/Smith/Howard/Black are brickmasters outside the paint.
