Agreed. It makes the 3-5 about as good as there is in the NBA. The question is, would there be any other moves? I could see a deal for a quality 4-5 like Wright or another that can be a stop gap at the 4-5.

They should just start: Howard Dmo Smith Ariza Harden The defense would be so great and the offense would be so bad that whoever scores 80 first in a game against the Rockets, wins.
Cyberx you are a friend and scholar... As soon as the Josh Smith news broke, I knew that Morey would be more likely to send DMo in a package to the Suns for Dragic. That move just makes too much sense. Furthermore, all the people clamoring for TJones to be shipped...His nerve injury basically makes him impossible to trade. I think Morey was hoping to see if TJones could make it back onto the court, but its looking unlikely. I dont underestimate Morey bringing in help after the roster is reassembled. This is basically a great time to make the needed/necessary changes: 1. Get Josh Smith on a bargain deal 2. Trade for Dragic (losing a good young prospect in DMo plus valuable pics; btw if Dragic agrees to an extension...that NOP is gone in this trade) 3. Ship Canaan, Dorsey and a future 2nd round pick for Wright to Phili? Great time to see how a great GM makes moves based on the Market...rather than impulse... Go ROCKETS!!!
Maybe not. I think DMo should go back to the bench anyway. You're tying up our best front court resources and not maximizing either by playing Dwight and DMo together. It gets congested and confusing and the team needs to play two different styles to complement either. I'm all in for moving dMo to a more focal position that comes off the bench anyway.
So how long would our deal be with Smith? One year or what? What are the rules on this since he was released?

Also, don't forget to add Corey Brewer and Alexey Shved to your team. ;-) I know the paint is still wet with them.
I really think so, it's best to make our peace with it now. It'll be horrible to watch for the rest of the season, but I guess Morey has bought the right to have the benefit of the doubt.
If we include the nop pick can we get blesode? Since the Suns say they won't trade dragic? Make them put their money where their mouth is.
I would imagine we would get Plumlee or Len to go with Goran if we were to trade DMo and the NOP pick. I haven't followed Plumlee or Len but figure it would lessen the blow of losing DMo and give Dwight a backup center.
Why in the world did we try and trade for Smith?!?! I don't mind signing him for cheap, but that contract.. HELL NAH
