Is this April 1st? Wow. That's some big $$. JSmoove singing, "Money for nothing and your chicks for free." I saw part of the Detroit-Brooklyn snoozefest yesterday and thought, So it's true; Josh Smith and "good shot selection" don't go together. Or he was trying for a trade. And gets waived.
Wow, it's virtually a lock that he clears waivers right? Maybe Pho or LAL takes a chance if they have the cap before he does?

Even for the minimum, I'm not sure I'd want to take a chance on him. Now, if we're limiting him to 15 min a night, and no chance of stepping on the floor in the 4th, I'd reconsider.
Sign that man!! have him come off the bench with DMO, when TJ is back from his injury, or other way around.
The Rockets could solidify themselves as the worst offense in the league if theyl lock down Josh Smith.
For the minimum as a backup??? You could do a LOT worse. We have such little depth on the front court right now. He can lock down bigs like LMA and you can simply yank him if he decides to be a knucklehead on offense and not be any worse off. It's not like Dorsey and Capela are lighting people up in the 2nd unit. I know all about his warts and his terrible shot selection and his infuriating inability to use his full talent. But at the minimum, is he worse than Joey Dorsey?? I'd sign him at a vet min in a heart beat and let Detroit eat the rest of his salary.
I think he could be a non-negative in our offense since he'd have to submit to Harden's touches. He's still a very good defensive player We seriously need to consider this guys!

Normally i would say no but, if the Rockets can get him for CHEAP and given the health of TJones, why not?
This should be reason enough for Morey to make a move...

Josh Smith’s closest friend in the NBA is new Mavs guard Rajon Rondo.
