Wow, like this move a lot. Provides versatility for us as a combo guard and our our team basketball IQ just went up. Coveted player two yrs ago that has become forgotten on bad teams. Good player.
I just though Rondo would put us over the top. My name nickname was given to me by a close friend that got stabbed and killed so it stuck and I still think the Rockets are title contenders Dallas just has a better roster now and there is not another team in history that I hate worse than them. Just a little jealous.
At what price? Our starting five is as solid as it gets We just need depth at SG and front court Shved can be the play maker we need when harden rests. And brewer can play some sf so ariza can rest and papa can also play some Pf and move dmo to center at times
I think this guy will surprise us with his shooting ability. I am pretty sure that the All Star game his Rookie year was the last time he saw open threes like he will see with the Rockets. When you catch and shoot open 3's off of Dwight kick-outs or Harden dishes, your 3 point percentage will go up. Plus, I can see a little creativeness in his game that might come in handy on that 2nd unit. His stats are low but who does he play for and who does he play off of. In the end his situation just improved and I think his numbers will reflect it going forward. Stats are like a bikini........they show a lot but they don't show it all!!
I doubt Morey put one over on an ex employee. Far more likely is that the asset acquired is an end of the rotation player, but I'm OK with that, because depth is depth, and he'll make a nice insurance policy in a season where the difference between 4th seed and 9th seed could be as little as three or four games.
Kids got real talent. I Was always a little jealous that Minny was able to just sign him outright; was like getting a mid 1st round pick for free. I really like the Brewer Shevd trade. I'm sick about what Dallas is doing with Rondo though.
Well just from looking at some videos of Shved, he seems to have all the skills we are looking for. He can score and facilitate getting other players involved. He could possibly be able to fill the void we have when Harden sits. We got him for basically nothing. This could be a another gem for which Morey has a knack of pulling out of his ass. We will just have to wait and see how he pans out. If he isn't any good then we did not really lose anything. As for the guy wanting to go back to Europe, well I can see where playing for a team in tank mode like Philly could get to a competitive person. If he is good and get some quality playing time he may just want to stick around, not to mention that living in Houston should be a lot better than living in Philly.
Just wondering...what two 2nd rounders did the Rockets gave up ??? I hope it wasn't New York's 2nd red this year....That pick has become a valuable asset...That is a 32 pick overall pick considering that Melo will shut it down soon or later no pun intended...
Kings 2015 second and a future Rockets second rounder. We have so many second round picks from Kings,wolves/denver,Knicks.
I really want Shved to play, but looking at the rotation it appears that either him or Canaan are out. I'm just gonna remove Jones from the equation for the time being. C Howard/Black PF D-Mo/Pap SF Ariza/Brewer SG Harden/Terry PG Beverly/Canaan I've like what Terry has done, but his D has become a major liability at this point. Canaan and Shved are better playmakers and better defensive players for their positions. I would play Shved and Canaan over Terry, but given his veteran status I doubt that happens, so I imagine he's ahead of them in the pecking order.
Yeah I wouldn't count on Tjones for this season coming back....The silence fromthe Rockets tells you he might have a serious injury (nerve damage)
Terry's veteran status is exactly what will keep him on the bench. As long as Shved and Canaan are playing well, Terry will be glued to the bench and getting that rest. He will be used in certain situations or if they start playing bad, but other than that, he is being rested for the run come April.
Shved can drive and finish at the rim, Canaan can't. Once Shved is familiar with the Rockets system he will play ahead of Canaan.
I really dont know what games youve been watching but Caanan is a very strong and able driver and finisher at the rim. Shved goes in to spell the Beard, he's a combo guard that can create for others but his strong suit is to score.
