    Ah ok so the part about TPE cannot be combined with players only is in effect if the incoming salary is greater than TPE value?

    The TPE can be used on multiple players. Daniels was sent out on a separate deal (apart from brewer) for turiaf who was sent to philly for shved.

    Edit: so trade 1) brewer into the TPE for 2nd rounders. 4.7 mill used of the TPE
    Trade 2) Daniels to minny, turiaf to philly, shved to houston for 3.2 of the TPE.

    I'm a fan of getting Brewer for the minutes alone. Ariza's shooting has already been suffering from his workload, and Harden can't keep going like this.

    Saving each of them 4 or 5 minutes a night will be a valuable, valuable contribution.

    Am I the only one who thinks if we trade for Goran @ the deadline, Brewer is staying? I think he's gonna fit nice here and help Harden not play 40m a game

    I'd guess Shved would be the one who shaves minutes off Harden's playing time if he is up to it. Harden can't sit because there isn't another competent playmaker on the team.

    Seriously though. Don't underestimate the power of leaking out when you have as good a defense as the Rockets. Lots of opportunities for transition.

    Morey wouldn't make these deals unless he thinks they are a good balance between cost and benefit. Let's hope another acquisition is made at the real deadline.
