Does anybody know how that stat works and why his PER is that high when his stats don't seem like they should warrant a PER that high?

Mainly because he scores 10 PPG in 17 minutes a game. His efficiency is pretty poor, but that PPG and APG is way too high for 16.8 MPG.
I did, nobody answered and it got buried. Figured more people would see this and can shed some light on it.
Shved is an enigma. Everytime I watched him play on the Wolves, I thought hmmmm this guy can play. He seemed to have a decent size to play defense and was pesky & annoying. He also seemed to have decent skillset on offense. Good passer and good around the rim while showing good bball IQ. You would feel like he is making a difference iin the game... But then you would look at his stats and say, "Who did he donate all his numbers to?!" I cant explain it...

He has great attitude , he can be a good recruiter ..oh well , he is talented somehow 19.7 PER is just a start of something great
like the terry trade over the summer... we gave up nothing for him, we are using him for his ending contract in order to match salaries for a high priced player, and if he gives us anything on the court its a bonus.
It is a per minute stat. Per 36 minutes, he's averaging 21 pgg, almost 6 assists, and 1.8 steals on decent efficiency.
If I tell you a player has the following per-36 statline(PER is a per minute stat so this is more apt) 21pts/2.8rbs/5.8ast/1.8stl/.545 TS% Would you also make this thread about said player?
I believe (if I remember correctly) Pat Beverley had a per of 110 for a short time. I think he went into a game and got a few steals and some points in a minute or two and wallah! GOAT
