"Aging Francisco Garcia has been ineffective in that role this season, and while rookie Kostas Papanikolaou has proven a quick study defensively, adding Brewer frees him up to play more power forward." Agree completely. At the very least, we get rest for Harden and Ariza. At the most we get good rotation players that can contribute to our defense. I think that Ariza's numbers have dropped after a great start because we are overplaying him on a nightly basis. Give him more rest and he will become more efficient!
Article is hysterical. Minnesota gets an "A" yet the author doesn't speak at all about Daniels or the 2nd round picks they received. Only the cap savings and roster being less clogged up. In other words, don't let the door hit you in the @ss on the way out Corey. :grin:

Have to admit that was the first time I saw Corey's 51 pt game. Must be the game that convinced Morey we need to get him. So funny to see Parsons trying to defend him (and all the other Rockets)
brewer gives size on the wing that terry and johnson can't give at SG, and he gives production that garcia couldn't give anymore. by the way he also gives championship experience.

Stats only tell results and the results have sucked, which is not a lie. That's why we got him for a player out for the season. But role players are very dependent on their situation, and only time will tell whether Shved can excel in the Rockets system.
Which basically leaves 2 major spots to be addressed, Point and backup C. I think with the way Motiejunas has been playing, that him and Papanikolaou combo at the PF is solid. (Blank), Beverley Harden, Terry Ariza, Brewer Motie, Papaniko Howard, (Blank) Which leaves us with a package of Jones, Johnson, Capela, Canaan and multiple future picks (Including the high valued Pelicans pick) to address those positions. Salaries of Shved, Jones and one of (Johnson, Canaan or Capela) would match in a trade for Dragic, Thomas or Teague etc.
These moves make me believe that Kostas and Cannan will eventually be in the package we offer for Dragic.
Dragic on this team would make us LEGIT title contenders. He's the third star, the missing piece to the puzzle.
I like the move. Maybe I would prefer Ronnie Brewer but the Rockets needed another vet, and Brewer has been in this league for a long time.
