Then what the h3ll do you call it?

Every race imitates it, Black dance movements and rhythms are derivatives of every other races dances, although not done as well.

I'm over the elementary petulant child-like bashing of my Culture.

How are you any way mature? Irony at its finest, you sound like a teenager but shamefully, I'm sure you're in your 40's. Either way you're child-like. Guess who's getting the ignore button? ;)

I come from a socially conservative family. I was sitting with my much younger siblings and it was awkward to say the least.

Has it or will it deter me from attending future rockets games? No, of course not. Do I want them to change their routine, etc.? No again.

If I was with my friends or by myself I would probably not feel the same way. Nevertheless it is what it is, no big deal.

I think I found the quintessential demonstration of what the OP is hoping to see. Let's start a petition. /signed

"Even my successful african-american friends have mentioned that its a bit ridiculous and overboard at times. Successful, mature african-americans that I know are into that type of garbage."

What type of garbage? Hip Hop music? Dancing?

Hip Hop culture is not "garbage"...

I don't know why you don't just say you think rap music is crap, liking and disliking types of music isn't a racial identifier unless you make it one.

Open your mind old white man...

The youth has always been cutting edge. Old folks said the same thing about Elvis back in the day, and every new music/artist that has come out since.

Nah it's pretty garbage, as is lower class/poor white culture. You can get away with mocking/openly hating poor white culture because:

    1. Whites cover a wider range of social classes. In other words there are more whites who aren't poor and who have a culture separate from poor whites. There isn't really a critical mass of upper middle class/wealthy blacks to have a large, uniquely upper middle class/wealthy black culture. So hating hip hop culture is seen as simply hating black people as a whole.

    2. In general it's easier to get away with hating on white people (thnx libs)

I was so thrilled entering this post cause I was sure it was going to be talking about all the high-density hotel and office buildings going up around discovery green and the toyota center for the superbowl. What a letdown.

LOLOLOLZ. It's funny people are considering racist if they say another negative about another race. It's okay for black people to not like country and white boy music but not okay for white/Hispanic people to like current rap/hip hop? Tolerance isn't about liking everything someone else does..... You can obviously tell the younger crowd here who doesn't have a clue.
