only if the player is packaged in a trade otherwise can be dealt anytime on their own

Yep. I want Dragic bad, but no way for D-Mo.

    D-Mo is a gots-to-keep situation.

    Terrance Jones, yes. D-Mo, no.

Even with Dragic, we still need another big. Giving up our 2nd-best is not a net-positive.

so we gave up 2 second rd picks and a good portion of TPE to upgrade from Daniels and Cisco to Brewer and Sved for the rest of the year?

    Idk... am I missing something?

No but the other teams will be missing something. And that's shots. Because now, we have CONSTANT WING DEFENSE.

That's about it, but (1) TPE has extremely limited utility anyway and (2) we can also re-trade those guys later and their larger contracts make a mid to large sized trade easier for us.

idk... unless some of these pieces are to swap for Dragic, I wish we woulda done something more for the front court...

guards: Harden, PBev, Brewer, Terry, Sved, NJohnson, Canaan

meanwhile at pf we got DMo... an injured TJ, Black, Dorsey... and KPap if we go small....

I know Morey will just wait till deadline to lower price.

But the Pels 1st/one of our 2nd rounders/Shved/Jones/filler (something to even deal out) for Dragic/Filler might be the best the Suns will get.

Getting it done now gets the team chemistry going, and would solidify our team for future moves as well.

    PG: Dragic/Bev/Canaan
    SG: Harden/Terry/Johnson
    SF: Ariza/Brewer
    PF: DMO/K-PAP
    C: Howard/Black

That's pretty solid on the bench. Dragic could even be our 6th man, while Bev starts.
A bench of Dragic/Terry/Brewer/K-PAP/Black is lethal.

Very much doubt that there is anything big happening soon. There is just no deadlines motivating anything right now. Morey made his Brewer/Shved deal, giving the team some help on court and options in structuring a February trade. He is probably done for now, unless something drastic happens to motivate some team to put an important player on the market.

That's what I'm thinking too. I thought the NYK 2nd rounder would get dealt, but I'm sure it's gonna be used for a bigger deal towards the deadline.

Well a combo of what I said seems feasible (whenever he can make the deal) unless Morey wants to part with Bev/Pels pick.... which I highly doubt.

The guy who scooped this around 1:30 on 790 was named Brad - any idea who he is?

Damn yall the trade deadline hasn't even approached yet and you're complaining about positions Morey didn't trade for.

He has time to make more trades. He just picked up two good players for practically nothing.
