Dwight probably has some of the best training and medical staff around him all the time. Every person is different. You can't assume what makes you sore does the same for him. Your post only makes sense if you talk in general terms but when you talk to specifics, you and Dwight Howard aren't the same person and aren't in the same situations.

RIGHT.....his shoulder injury is cause from over training and lifting too much weights.....wait! what about the 200+ pound player that just raked him across the arms as hard has he could to prevent him from USING HIS MUSCLES to go up and slam the ball?? No, that didn't have anything to do with it at all; I'm an ass....he's right; dwight is lifting too much and needs to rest just muscles.

Don't have a good feeling about this at all. We got very lucky with Dwight being healthy for the vast majority of last season.

Maybe you should have learned to lift properly and focus on bench/squat/deadlift/OLY lifts instead of training two muscles at a time for 50 minutes like a bodybuilder twink. Beyond that, if you routinely needed a week for recovery, you were overtraining and would have benefited from less volume but more frequent workouts. If anything, lifting makes someone less likely to get injured as long as they aren't doing it the day before a game.

I lol'ed at this comment. You can tell its real because the glare on his forehead changes as you get closer. That and the shadows are all right.

    Keith Jones?
    Idk.
They must be good or we would have more injuries? (looking on the bright-side)

I hope you're trolling....all that means is you broke down muscle tissue, which is the whole point of hypertrophic lifting. In other words, that's how muscles grow. You likely were targeting very specific muscles and burned them out too.

And all that means jack, if we don't know Dwight's actual program load and frequency, which I don't believe has been made available.

That being said, I do think he needs to work on more functional training, and I do think he has been, since he's been here, but it takes time to remodel his movements.

This a pro player not some amateur lifting weights for fun. And where did you find he's lifting weight during the summer?

No, the point of hypertrophic lifting is to cause muscular supercompensation, which is reduced by breaking down too much muscle tissue/overtraining:

Which is why I also said "and burned them out TOO." From his story alone, You can't tell if he over trained or just hit muscles he hadn't before. You can be sore for several days, without over training, if those muscles have never really been hit.

Generally speaking, the point is to challenge muscles to grow by increasing the load, which breaks muscle fibers.
