How ironic it would be if we are able to get Dragic using Brendan Wright. If that happens, I will troll Cuban and Parsons haha
Have a hard time believing that a mid-level talent on a bad team with a player option for 2015-2016 is worth anything more than a middling 2nd.
Haven't talked to them today. But they have been in agreement for a long time now that Morey preferred Dragic over Rondo but would have taken Rondo if the price was low enough.
It makes sense that Minnesota would try to get a #1. Flip is running the Wolves and he is a very cautious guy and drags trades out. He was criticized for waiting so long to move Love, but he ultimately got more. I personally do not think anyone is going to give Minnesota a #1 for Brewer. The real question becomes whether the Wolves take Morey's offer or they hold him until February. Morey would rather walk away than over pay, look at his track record. I don't have any inside information but I do not see Dragic being dealt any time soon. He clearly is unhappy in Phoenix, and they have long term issues with their pay distribution and they have clearly regressed as well. Still, I think Phoenix will hold onto him awhile until forced to deal him or Thomas.
I agree, players that can play center, rebound and finish inside do not grow on trees. Someone will gladly give up a #1 for him. People that say "no" are not being realistic. You don't think that a team like Houston or GS or any other number of teams that think they can win now are not going to eye a good center? There is only one Jermaine O'Neal available.
I think he sees that Morey needs to use his TPE so that he can package that player come February so he's trying to squeeze out more juice seeing how Brewer is a productive player. Unfortunately for Flip, Morey would probably use that TPE on scrubs if he really needed to and not necessarily have to get Brewer.
Yeah I think Brandan Wright for a #1 is almost a sure thing unless the Celtics have some plan to keep him. The Cavaliers would move mountains to get him.
I asked a scout for you... He said Jordan Hill is valued higher than Dmo. This is obviously HIS view... but I asked for ya Honestly CF members value him more than Durant...
This. Also Morey doesn't want to get the reputation as a guy that gives in. Right now, Flip has to be wondering: "Well, will Morey give in? Do we really just want Brewer gone? Will Brewer exercise his option? Will Brewer become a distraction?"
