haha chandler was supposed to have regressed after being in a horrible situation like NY. one who couldn't stay healthy. but he's now having a better season so far this year than when he was with dallas when they won the championship. good situations revive players that want to win.

 

No he won't, he's a solid offensive player but can't defend for ****.

Boston is a LONG way from being any good. Smart hasn't shown anything yet.

Wright is a big upgrade because they can defend the rim now and dramatically improves their entire defense. But they have no future star on the team yet. Sullinger is destined to be a backup power forward. He too cannot defend.

 

Great Trade by Dallas. If he resigns and plays like he's currently playing, they really gave up nothing great.

No. That is why you have Dirk and Monta.

As much as I hate the Mavs, Rondo fits well on the team as they have scorers and need a good distributor

 

I don't think Rondo and Ellis can play in the same backcourt. Curry and Ellis have tried this and it seems to me that both of their careers went in a better direction when they split up.

 

rondo and curry are nowhere near the same players and ellis is not the same player he was when he was younger

 

His defense is vastly improved this year, he's also getting nearly 2 offensive rebounds and 1.5 steals a game.
The knock on gasol coming into his second year was that he was a liability on the defensive end and that's one reason the grizzlies drafted Thabust.
The point is, you have to judge a player's progression and NOT his first impression.
What was olynk does. He is pretty damn good right now.

But he had 3 prime HOFers that are all a threats from outside the paint covering up his own issues.

I think the trade leaves Dallas very thin up front.
Basically they now have Tyson Chandler and Greg Smith as legitimate options in the center position.

I would guess that Greg Smith still won't play anything other than spot minutes, and that Aminu and Villanueva are going to log the backup C minutes now?
Perhaps Cuban has been greasing O'Neals palm, and they will add him to their roster?

But he's their for his playmaking and defense but he is a liability at the end of games with ppl lagging off him.. I could be wrong...id just rather have a more well rounded player...

 

They don't have Ray and Pierce both CLUTCH who are dangerous everywhere on the court.. But agree to disagree.. I guess its what you would prefer for you team cause I'd rather have a deeper bench with players I can depend on to hit open shots..

 

Yes teams played off of him during his Boston days. Both times they played the Lakers in the finals LA put Kobe Bryant on him and that allowed Kobe to roam and help on Garnett, Pierce and Allen.

The difference is that Boston was an elite defensive team so they could win low scoring games when their offense struggled. Dallas is a poor defensive team and has to rely on out scoring teams. If their offense gets slowed down they lose.
