wow so he can't shoot, but he passes and sets up a lot and is a title winning point guard. He won't need to shoot on that team

Really? Dallas got a good deal but I think Cuban cut off his nose to spite his face with Parsons. In my opinion, Morey's been very good about not letting Cuban dictate what he does with this team and the record speaks for itself. Anyway, I'd much rather have Dragic on this team than Rondo. Personally, having Harden, I'd prefer Beverley to Rondo too.

The fact that they got "better" when they went out a signed Parsons, Nelson, and others in the offseason, yet they are still behind the Rockets in the standings.

They did get better. But they aren't title favorites anymore than we are right now.

Morey is waiting to make the move that makes us title contenders to title favorites. Whether that'd be Brewer now and Dragic later or some unknown trade scenario in the future, but when we make that move, will we distinguish ourselves from the other teams.

And what if he stays healthy? Lol what then? They just became a threat. Cuban got away with robbery. Dallas had nothing to lose and they are all-in.

we need a bench and plan A and B and C

we need to improve on defence and we have because defence wins titles and keeps you in games when your offence isn't flowing

Again... do you even watch the Rockets play? Who the hell is he going to lead? Our 2nd unit? In case you forgot, HARDEN handles the ball and PG duties on our team. Considering Howard needs paint space and prefers to run the PnR, how is that going to work with Rondo? Or are you seriously expecting Rondo to come off the bench to take over when Harden sits? Yeah... like that's going to fly.

THIS. Do not want Rondo, but if Rockets can help facilitate Rondo trade and get Green and/or Wright, that would be sweet.

I think BOS was just happy they aren't paying Rondo's huge salary anymore on their rebuilding team.

What do they do with their surplus of big men though?

Is there a way to trade for health?

It's not about now. I could give a rats ass if we were 1st right now. When playoffs hit... We will need to be peaking.... There's still a lot of time to succeed/fail etc etc etc.

And how does Rondo help with this? You are suggesting Rondo come off the bench? We have a defensive PG that is comparable to Rondo, his name is Patrick Beverley. The only thing Rondo does better for sure is passing, that is all.

It's worth the gamble for Dallas, no question. They are thin in the front court, but they can probably lure somebody like Jermaine O'Neal. Losing Wright and Crowder are worth the risk given Rondo's track record.

On the other hand, this is one less competitor for Dragic in February, or over the summer. If Jones can get back on the court he has a chance to enhance his trade value by then.

I like it. Rondo was not a good fit for the rockets (especially harden) but morley got in there and drove the price up for the mavericks. Crowder and wright we're very important depth pieces to what the mavs have been doing this year.

Just like people said when they got Chandler Parsons? Or like we actually did when we got James and Dwight on consecutive years--THAT was highway robbery.

We still have to wait and see how Rondo changes the Mavs.
