    So true.

Foul trouble, and then no line of defense.

They are going to end up getting Memphis first round in the playoffs and get spanked on the inside.

It's not like they gave up much. Pretty low risk move on their part.

Did rondo agree to sign a contract extension? Would it be funny if he walked away from Dallas after the season? I have a feeling that is why Dallas got the trade, not Houston. They were willing to take a chance and rent Rondo....now what if rondo signed with Houston after the summer... hmmmm

Eh I'm actually right there with you with being happy we didn't waste assets on him, but I think Boston had to pull the trigger.

They weren't going to pay him the max to keep him there so get something for him while you can. I'm guessing the market for PGs is pretty weak considering how many teams have a good one and then add in teams who have no interest in a guy at Rondos stage and I'm guessing what Dallas offered was the best they were going to get.

Dallas loses significant depth but Rondo may be the piece they need to defend the currys, parkers, hardens, and Lillards in the west. But any injury will set them back so it's not like this move is without risk. Rondo still can't shoot so he wouldn't fit in with us. We have much BIGGER needs like a backup c and sg/sf. Let's see how things play out, kinda happy we didn't make a trade cus I like the flow our guys have with each other right now and it will only get better once jones and papa get back.

If Dallas can put the pieces together this is a major win for them. Then again, you have Dirk, Ellis, Rondo and Parsons. All guys need the ball. This team will dread playing Memphis. What the Rockets right now lack, more than a ball handler is size and strength. Black had played well, and so has Dorsey, but they are far from long term options when DMo and Howard sit. God only knows when TJones returns to the lineup.

definitely not a risky move because they didnt give up much. I dont know how well they are gonna play together. dallas relies on the 3 a lot too and jameer was no joke from downtown either. monta and rondo is gonna be weird together

I think this is an amazing deal and fit for the Mavs

They just need to keep Chandler healthy and its gonna be very good for them this year
