That's my take as well.

Oh well. Brewer tomorrow and Dragic in February.

 

We have the best player in the league right now thanks to Moreys "dice rolls" so saying that he will eventually sink our ship is beyond absurd.

We also have a better shooting Rondo in Beverley thanks to Morey as well. Need I go on?

This board is so "what have you done for me lately" it's sickening.

 

Extremely happy we didn't get a ball dominant guard who cannot shoot. Harden and Howard MUST have shooters around them...I really cannot see a guard that would fit better in our system than Dragic. Hopefully, we can put something together for him. We do not need Brewer either. We need upgrades for Black and Cannan and we will be just fine.

I'm not even disappointed. I know the media will love Dallas even more now, based purely on names. Rondo/Ellis/Parsons/Dirk/Chandler looks formidable. Can they mesh quickly though? We all know Ellis is one of the best slashers in the league, this gives him less opportunities to do so. Lose front court depth as well.

I'm not too sure this makes them better, but I do know he's a better fit for Dallas than he would be with us.

 

I don't really care that we aren't getting Rondo, except that it bothers me he's going to Dallas.

And TBH I'm 50/50 on how much it improves them. They get more temperamental and can jack with their chemistry, but at the same time they need that toughness and intensity. They lose some of their depth that made them a threat, but the also gain a legitimate starting point guard.

It isn't better. Come on man!
