Even if Morey trades for Rondo, nothing is keeping the Rockets from letting him walk next Summer an chasing Dragic, instead, right?

I think the Rockets need his bird rights as they don't have the cap room

Just rent him for a few months and then go get Dragic in the summer.

Rondo is kinda like Parsons to me: Not elite at anything (anymore), very good in some aspects, horrible in others.

Neither of them are max money guys.

I could see Morey passing on Rondo for the same reason he passed on Parsons. He's just not worth tying up that much money in a player who isn't elite at any one thing, PLUS he'd have to give up assets to get him. That just doesn't sound like a Morey move to me at all.

Dallas offense is already good as is. Rondo ain't gonna make it any better.

They're problem is defense there's no way it will improve with Rondo especially if wright and crowder are gone.

He's not a good defender anymore though, last year players shot over 10% better than they normally do just because he was on them. The "Rondo bump" is real.

as opposed to the pg's dallas has now? put him in a good situation like dallas, and im sure rondo can be a very good player.

Lesson learned for Danny Ainge in waiting too long. Too bad for Celtics fans.

Stein always pushes the crap out of Dallas news.

Fact of the matter is. This trade will make Dallas extremely reliant upon Tyson Chandler's health.

I will pause for a few laughs.

Devin Harris actually has better numbers according to the NBA tracking numbers. Not everywhere on the court, but overall opponents are shooting less than their normal percentages against him.....can't say that for Rondo though.

    Stupid question

Can this 3 be waved and Dallas pick them up again?

@WojYahooNBA: Houston had dropped out of the talks in the past hour, clearing the way for Boston to complete deal with Dallas, sources told Yahoo.

That deal by the Mavericks tells you how Morey values rondo. We could easily give a better package than that. If we don't, it means Morey didnt want rondo unless he was free.
