    Scary.

Rondo fits in Dallas. Does not fit here. We're screwed if he goes to either team.

Interesting. I'm thinking about the Rockets. The Knicks/Lakers could shed some salary off their books.

Ugh @ "still fighting." I was really hoping Morey was just playing hardball to drive up Dallas' price. He wouldn't make a stupid deal just for the sake of winning this faux competition, right? Right?

hard to see Boston taking whatever Dallas has to offer for Rondo unless Dallas sends them multiple first round fully unprotected picks in 2019 and 2021 (figure by then dirk is gone, parsons could be, ellis will be old and same with rondo) but i doubt they would give up something that far ahead in the future when they could possibly be in a rebuilding phase themselves. They haven't fared too well in the FA market as much as it seems the media (ie: espn) has tried to put them in the mix for every big name free agent.

Seems to me its more of a tactic used by Ainge to try to drive up the price - he knows the Rockets and Mavs are competitive and the Rockets have been eyeing Rondo for some time. If Ainge isn't driving up the price than its the Mavs trying to raise the price to make the rockets give up more than they need to.

The second tweet by Spears seems to indicate that by putting it out there that the Rockets still have a chance but they need to do somthing to really "put them back in front"

I also dont believe Morey will make a move just to spite the Mavs at the cost of the Rockets - everything he has worked for the last several years since Yao finally came off the books is here now - he wants that other star of course but he isn't going undo everything he has put together just to screw Cuban over. I mean seriously the whole Parsons thing? The Rockets sort of got the better end of that with Ariza signing for a lot cheaper and the Rockets also able to add Papa. Cuban to me seems to indulge in the "feud" a lot more. He was the local cutting edge guy from the tech world when he took over -- that crown is now not his as guys like Morey, Ujiri, Hinkie etc are the talk of the NBA

Ainge is probably leaking all over the place to drive up the price

What a laughable offer. That leak by Woj screws Ainge over though, hilarious.

lol. If Dallas gets Rondo for that package I wouldn't even be all that mad. I would be laughing my ass off at Ainge considering the fact that Morey had Asik, Parsons, and/or draft picks ready to deal last year and Ainge didn't budge.

    lol Ainge you silly goof.

That might make them worse... It would force them to play Greg Smith as the primary back up big...

Fair amount of Rondo talk on The Lowe Post today. Listening now and what I have heard Lowe and Pelton say so far...

Lowe doesn't know what the big deal with Rondo is right now.(he's not the player he once was)

They both kinda question how Rondo would work in Houston. Lowe had a little more faith in Houston making it work with him, but Peltons point is Harden needs the ball and Rondo off the ball doesn't do a lot for you.

They like his fit in Dallas better, but again they had some reservations about how much he really helps. I believe Lowes quote was Rondo instantly becomes their best perimeter defender, but being the best perimeter defender on Dallas is like being the skinniest kid at fat camp.

These 2 atleast just don't seem to think Rondo is that good anymore. Especially if he is wanting a max deal after this year.

It wouldn't make them worse....if that deal goes through and that's what they have to give up then it's a steal for Dallas. I have no idea why a guard that damn near averages a triple double gets the negative press lol. People just follow the narrative. If Morey is after Rondo, then shouldn't we trust that he knows what he's doing more than us? Am I the only that sees this working IF Rondo was a Rocket? Harden leads the league in turnovers, Rondo IS a ball dominate guard that passes first. He would get Harden easier shots; more so Howard. Harden wouldn't have to create as much, which would limit his turnovers and the teams overall. It wouldn't affect his scoring (harden) because Rondo would create easier shots for both stars. My opinion of course
