Exactly. For this reason... while I love me some DMO. I can't see Morey turning back on his asset rule (something he lives by) to not chase that piece that could bring a championship to Houston. I love DMO's game, and he has potential to become an amazing player. But Rondo has a ring, is one of the better PG's, and we still have T Jones/Pap. You make the trade if all you have to give up is DMO/Capella/Garcia/Pels Pick.
BHolic Im going to tell you something my man, you know your basketball. But come on man if Morey got a call by Portland asking to give up Aldridge for DMO I can tell you right now DMOs career as a rocket would be over before he hung up the phone. DMOs had about 12 or 15+ good games recently and I believe he's had a game or two with double digit rebounds in all that, he's been a revelation with his postups, passing ect., but Aldridge is a perennial all star and franchise player. And I say this with all due respect.
That's just me. I wouldn't do it right now, no. DMo is fitting like a glove. He's young and he's still got another year left before he's paid. I wouldn't do it. Maybe after this season is over and if LaMarcus wants to come here and we get him on a fresh sign-and-trade...I'd consider it then.
As a Celtics fan, I have no interest in what Dallas is offering unless they can find a team to take Wright. I have to assume that if Morey was willing to give us the New Orleans pick and either Jones/Dmo it would be a done deal.
So if we have to give up a PF to get this done. I don't know if I would rather keep Dmo or Tjones. Dmo has been playing good lately and Tjones injury could be an ongoing issue.
Yeah, I would think you are right. If Morey had put the NOP pick in there along with Donatas this would already be done. Thank Morey he isn't that dumb.
I don't think Morey would think twice if all it took was Jones + NOP pick. But knowing Ainge, he is probably trying to nickel and dime Morey.
I think you would have to do it. Send Jones and NO 1st, along with whatever salary fillers you need. Please and thank you.
I just don't see how valuable Wright is as a trade piece. He is becoming an unrestricted FA this summer. So he can leave whatever team he is on at the end of the season and a team that wants him long term can just sign him in the summer.
Okay, perhaps the 'insult' wasn't warranted - but I just don't see how any sane person would rather have D-Mo than LaMarcus Aldridge. You could throw in anyone not named Harden/Howard, and the Blazers would still refuse.
And you may be right. I'm just giving my opinion. Morey may indeed jump all over an Aldridge/DMo swap right now. I'm just saying I wouldn't do it. I'd let DMo play this season out....see how he handles himself in the playoffs...see how he matches up with Aldridge and Zach and the other big PFs in the West. And then I'd figure out where to go from there.
Lol no. I have had that in my sig for months. I thought you copied mine when I saw it a few days ago.
Very surprised there's so much buzz right now. I still think Rondo doesn't get moved until the deadline.
Both Ainge and Morey are notorious for being tough to trade with. Very unlikely the Rockets offer DMo and the Pelicans pick. The Rockets lost out on Bynum a few years ago because Morey wouldn't include anything except a few negligible assets. Honestly an Ainge/Morey deal of any magnitude is hard to believe.
I got it from twitch.tv chat. So no I didn't realize you had it until after I had it a few days. But I will let you keep the sig, I won't Lin butt hurt about losing my number to the better player
Ugh, RIP productivity. I've basically accepted that the rest of this day is going to be spent refreshing this site.
