The mavericks aren't going to trade Crowder, one of their better shooters, and Wright, their best backup forward, for Rondo, so he can have fewer shooters to pass to.

And if they do they're really stupid.

Mavs torch their future to hop up two or three spots this season? Sounds good to me.

This doesn't elevate Dallas ahead of OKC/Spurs/Memphis/GSW/Clippers/or us.... I'm really not worried.

They better hope Tyson Chandler holds up because Greg Smith will get slaughtered come playoff time if Chandler's injured.

    lol.

Sam Presti isn't stupid either. and he traded Harden for 65 cents on the dollar. Happens ALL the time.

Plus Cuban is a crazy mothereffer and he doesn't care about giving picks up to rent Rondo. He wants to win NOW.

and I don't blame him at all. That team would be SCARY. If I was him I would do anything and everything to make it happen right now.

    EFF THIS

of all teams, why does it have to be the MAVS?

This is like the Parsons offer sheet all over again. They always come out of nowhere.

Meh... He is what he is. He hasn't defended in over two years... At this point he passes, that is it.

Only way it really hurts Houston is if Rondo is completely dogging it.

Am I the only one that thinks, Rondo, Ellis, Parsons, Dirk and Chandler is a scary looking starting 5?

I think that's been the consensus here. But their bench would be wrecked without Wright and Harris.

I love people who think Rondo wouldn't be reinvigorated when he was on a contender with awesome teammates to pass to rather than on a tanking Celtics team.

    Lol.

Again, you people are in denial because you know how awful this situation is for us.

You saw what he did in 2010 with three grandpas for teammates?

That's a dangerous Dallas team especially if the only players they give up are Wright and Harris

Come back to me when the Mavs are offering 3 1st rounders, including 2 lottery picks for Rondo before you make the OKC comparison.

Rondo has been out of sight, out of mind for you guys.

Give him Dirk, Ellis, Tyson Chandler, and Parsons and Cuban is going to sweep the **** out of Harden and co in the first round.

    This is depressing news.

I'm usually an optimist here but this sucks. sucks. I barely can concentrate on the game right now.

If Rondo was locked up on a rookie contract headed into restricted FA, it would be a different story.

Come back to me when Rondo is Harden?

Come back to me when Rondo is coming here with a deal for multiple years already in place rather than being a possible rental?

Not familiar with the Mavs cap, but this move would give them some nice cap room this Summer, wouldn't it?

Hopefully they give up brendan wright so we don't have to deal with him anymore.
