I've never seen such a young guy have so many back issues. It's not like he's carrying his team a la Harden. He's a spot up shooter!
Chandler Parsons last year with Rockets: 16.6 ppg 5.5 rpg 4.0 apg - 850,000 per year. This year with Mavericks. 16.3 ppg 5.0 rpg 2.3 apg - 15,000,000 per year.
Looks like Chandler Bang is back. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Chandler Parsons in December: 22 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 2.8 apg, .521 FG%, .490 3%</p>— Tim MacMahon (@espn_macmahon) <a href="https://twitter.com/espn_macmahon/status/545411700519092224">December 18, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
It's mid December. How many games is in that sample size? Holla at me when he averages that for a season.
I don't know if I should be surprised or not with his decrease in assist this season. Is it because he is primarily looking to score since he seems to think points justifies superstar play? I mean, that team has enough weapons that he should average around 4 or so a game.
If there is any meat in the Rondo to Dallas rumors, it has to be for parsons. nothing else works salary- or logic-wise. Something interesting to monitor...
What's your point? He's being paid 15 million dollars a year and he's finally stringing together some good games? I would hope that would be the case...
parsons, wright, picks for rondo, wallace? doubt it but i cant see anything else even remotely plausible
He's the exact same player as last year. Nearly identical numbers across the board with an uptick in scoring because of a couple more shot attempts per game. All that talk about using him differently and to his strengths and what do you get? The same guy. He's a very good player, but he is what he is. Unreal value last year, overpaid this year. Houston wasn't holding him back or using him wrong, which is what he, his brothers and the media were trying to have the sheeple believe during the offseason.
Well, Parsons started the season on a horrible 7 game stretch, and it didn't stop people in this thread from yucking it up like drunken hyenas. But since that 7-game cold streak, Chandsome has been averaging 18 ppg on 47% FG and 40% 3P over the past 20 games. Summary of this thread: Parsons has a 7 game cold streak. Thread explodes with 80 pages of non-stop, daily Chandler bashing. Parsons has a 20 game hot streak. Thread activity slows to a crawl.
