Cyberx, have you found out who is our most likely target? Brewer? Rondo?

No way they get a 1st for brewer. Surprised Morey would give up that Knicks 2nd rounder.

He can't play offense or defense effectively, what else is there?

I thought the goal of whatever player we trade for at the 12/19 deadline is to package said player at the real deadline for an impact player. If so, isn’t it more informative to know what that other team think of the 2015 capspace than the Rockets? I don’t know who the Rockets are targeting, but if the other team wants that 2015 capspace, then Brewer’s situation may mean the Rockets add further sweetners so his salary can be dumped in the offseason by the other team(perhaps an extra 2 2nd rounders like Terry). Hence effectively making Brewer’s acquisition cost rise that that amount.

Of course, the Rockets may project Brewer to be good enough where he'd opt out anyway. But that's still a guess and not set.

Exactly. I hope people understand how hard it is to get the kind of info he has before. He posted what he heard, that the Brewer discussion was back and heating up, and it appears he was right.

I thought the same thing, to be honest. I liked that second round pick more than that, but Rockets must like Brewer.

Absolutely. That 2nd round pick could end up being very high. Very valuable pick. That's usually where Morey finds his gems.

Why we'll give up the Knicks second rounder if we can give ours wich is much cheap?

Brewer will come off the bench, get a couple of steals, and easy buckets in transition.

Brewer makes sense. Morey can use him as a backup SF if we have to deal Jet and Papa.

cyberx actually gives us valid info. The other so called insiders haven't given us any credible info. This is what makes him different from Plowman, Doc Rocket, Drew etc

Rondo is always either a)hurt, b)playing hurt or c)recovering from playing hurt. He is occasionally great. His great play was largely 4 years ago. Even if he comes here, meshes well, finds his previous self - odds are that won't last for long. Teams that have very good players who actually play most of the games historically do the best.
