As someone who was pulling for a Rondo trade, I think it's now in our best interest to look elsewhere. With the amount of threes we take, it'd be counter-productive to have him on the floor for 35 minutes a night. He'd be a good fit next to Dwight, but Harden simply isn't an off-ball player. Bad fit.
I just can't wrap my head around what rondo would do for this team. 48 minutes of rondo/Beverly on D would even make Westbrook tired.
He will also cost more than Brewer. Rondo and Green for Bev, Motie, and a first? I think that would be a fair trade.
I'd venture to say that he is unmotivated because of his situation. It is always nice to have guys on your squad who can give you 30 on a good night. The Rockets are too reliant on Harden and Howard right now.
