Thanks! If I have to guess I would say Brewer is considered a minor move alas Jordan Hamilton last season. Truth is team is playing well, I would not be upset if we stay put. But as I said before, wide open race, if we can go all in, we should.
Brewer is essentially an expiring contract that basically wants out of Minny to go to a contender. He intends to opt out so he can leave Minny after this season. It's either trade him for whatever they can get or watch him walk for nothing. If Minny can get a second rounder and possibly push it to 2 second rounders that's probably his appropriate value since he might price himself out of the market for a team he is traded to. And he is essentially a playoff team player, not a player that would sign with a rebuilder.
Some combination (s) of Terrence, Kostas, Canaan, Capella, JET, Dorsey, Black, Johnson, future seconds, and possible a future first while preserving the Pels pick and the TPE.
I do not quite get the hard on the Rockets have for Brewer. He is a talented (although flawed) defender, that can in a pinch cover three positions. He is a very good scorer in transition, but he is every bit as bad a player in a half court set. A few years ago I felt he would develop his three point shot but that hasn't happened. My guess is that Brewer will get a lot of the back up minutes at the 2-3. My guess is that Brewer allows the Rockets to move Ariza or Pap Smear at the deadline if necessary and also allows the Rockets to move Brewer if needed. My question is whether the Rockets convinced Brewer to waive his player option.
It's not just him ... Doc was run off .... Every single inside source we have gets run off by these guys and I am sick of it ! Clutch should freakin ban them. What value does constantly posting insults and disrespect to other members have ?! I for one loved analyzing the doc rocket threads and now he's gone... Now prob plowman (clutch even verifies he's trustworthy) Why cyberx still sticks around despite the "haters" spewing their moronic opinions and insults around every time a hint of a rumor is posted, is beyond me. But I am glad he does. The thing that bothers me the most is that they feel they need to post the same hate spam every time. It's like we didn't see it the first 300 times. Ultimately the Suns are going to want a huge ransom for Goran. Morey doesn't pay huge ransoms. I bet he offered the TPE and 2-2nd rounders for Dragic.
So what's the hold up on Brewer? I assumed that was one of the two deals Morey thought he had in place days ago.
Wow, thanks again for the info. I do not think we are in love with Brewer, but I`m in love with anything that gives us another defender to throw at the Westbrooks/Durants/Lebrons we are going to face come playoff time even if it is not a shooter. Plus there is a huge value in anything that gets Harden and Ariza minutes down. We have to learn to win without over use our main guys.
It would either be JET or Kostas, if it were a 1:1 player swap. Otherwise, you'd need at least TJones+Dorsey+Garcia at a minimum for salary matching without using the TPE.
Am i the only one that would rather have Terry's shooting/leadership and Papa's all around play over Brewer? I wouldnt like a trade for Brewer involving either of them.
