Harden cannot play 48 minutes a game. We need someone to create a shot and move the offense up and down rather side to side. Having a PG that can do this ala Dragic would give us this near 3rd star and would be effective if either Dwight or James go down with injury.
Whatever. I have a clue, unlike most here. No Rondo. No Brewer. No Melo. No Lowry. It was obvious. Bosh? Hell yes. It was obvious.
So we just recruited Melo for the ****s and giggles right. We put up a pic in the locker room for the hell of it. Did you predict the Harden trade?
I'd take Brewer over CJ all day. Plus, CJ's having a hot shooting streak right now -- which means he'll start shooting like 5 for 462 over the course of the next few months, until he gets hot for a couple of weeks again. Rinse, repeat.
Your insufferable condescension aside -- you honestly think they met with Melo and Lowry not because they were genuinely interested in them, but..... for what? Just for show? To jerk them around?
http://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft/future_drafts/detailed Yeah, they likely keep their top 5 protected pick this year, but have to convey their 1st rounder to PHX in 2016. The trade would have to be for our 1st rounder and Lakers 2017 1st rounder. If that's the case, we can certainly offer up a better package for Rondo.
Dude, you are single-handedly ruining this thread. And given all of the garbage that has been posted here, that's saying something. We get it, you think you're a mind-reader who knows what Morey is doing. See, I actually agree with most of your takes, but you are so condescending and insufferable. Take a breather man.
If you will so kindly notice there was absolutely no contract offer for Melo. What CF fans call recruiting I call a courtesy visit. Nothing more. This forum needs to stop viewing player's meeting with management as actual interest in signing them. And heck no I did not predict the signing of Harden. I had absolutely no clue he was on the market. And neither did anyone else. Which is the basis of my argument that no fan has any insight into the plans of NBA teams. If there is a leak the source will be hunted down and will never work in the NBA again.

I think they know he is gone this year if he doesn't get traded. That's why teams that may have cap this summer aren't trading for him.
Well that is high praise considering that I have written under 0.1% of the posts on this thread. Am I really that influential? I think not. I am not a mind reader, but I do understand the NBA from several different perspectives. And I do understand team fit. That is the reason Houston will never ever acquire Rondo. ****ty team fit. It is not difficult to see this if you take a purely analytic approach to the possible team acquisitions. Rondo requires the ball to be effective. So does Harden. Who do you choose? LOL.
