    Let's observe the evidence:

    1) Dragic has sat the last couple of games with an "injury"
    2) The Rockets recently "followed" Dragic on twitter
    3) Dragic said he would "explore his options in free agency", and that Houston would be one of those options
    4) "Early trade season" began Monday

Clearly all of this means we are getting Corey Brewer.

    Dragic can be our Ginibilli
    Harden can rest more minutes.
and if the rockets play a small lineup some minutes Beverleay can be the PG, Dragic the SG, Harden the SF, Arriza the PF.

Guys who like to have the ball in their hands can co-exist if they are both talented enough and one takes a slight back seat.

Coach could also help by staggering minutes throughout the game.

Duy Ngyuen is an obvious pseudonym for Daryl Morey.

There was also that tweet he favorited (and then unfavorited) last week about him being a good choice as a secondary ball-handler here.

This is just me, but I feel that Gogi is all about winning. He has already proven to the league that he is up there in terms of being one of the better starting PG's. He does not appear to have a huge ego and would not be too much of a stretch for him to take 6th man role as long as it gets him a ring.

His performance last year is enough to guarantee him a fat contract regardless of his play this year whether in PHX or Rockets.

My guess is that Dragic gets traded no earlier than the trade deadline. Right now, unless PHX gets an offer so good that it can't refuse, NBA history suggest that they don't make a deal until they have to and the deadline is when they have to make a deal if they want to avoid the "Dragic walks away as FA" risk. They might even take that risk and hope to work out a S&T for Dragic.

I agree with everything you said. There is a good percentage of fans who agree with the idea that PB is the best compliment for Harden. Gogi will provide another penetrator of the bench which PB is not known for. This way, nobody has to temper down their style of play and you get max output from both instead of taking a back seat every so often.

The term lottery pick refers to the teams in the lottery, not the teams that win a top 3 spot in the lottery.

The non-playoff teams are all in the lottery so there's 14 lottery picks.

Here's a list of all lottery picks by year from the NBA site. Notice that there were 14 lottery picks last season, not just 3.

Waiting till the last minute would be risky for the Suns because every team in the league knows that they have to trade Dragic because if not they lose him for nothing. Also that means that he can leave whoever trades for him after the season as well. If the Suns get a good offer, they should jump at it because they are the ones that NEED the trade to go through, not the other way around.

Per Drew, that still qualifies as #soon.

So what was this tweet Dragic favorited? Sounds sketchy.

I wouldn't think they would want him, he's injured and the Suns already have the tweener market cornered with the Morrii. I think for the Rockets to trade for Dragic, they'd have to either use DMo, which I'd be against, or get another team involved who has something the Suns want.

Don't think that's exactly how trades work.

Teams have problems, and if they are going to make a trade, you need to solve their problems. PHX does not have a "cap" or "lack of young talent" issue. They desperately miss Frye, and their interior defense isn't very good.

Therefore, I propose the following trade:

    HOU In: Dragic
PHX In: Ryan Anderson, Clint Capela
    NOP In: Kostas Papanikolaou

Dragic would be great but you gotta think the Suns would demand DMo which Morey may not want to give up.

If we want to not mess with chemistry and just improve the depth then two separate deals. Some combo of the TPE, NOP pick, Jones, and Terry for Bass/Green and a backup defensive wing like Afflalo, Brewer, Prince, etc.

    Bev/Cannan
    Harden/Afflalo/Garcia
    Ariza/Pap
    DMo/Green/Dorsey
    Howard/Black

That's a deep team with plenty of scoring punch off the bench.

I think you're misunderstanding what I meant by "good trade", it wouldn't be a good trade if it didn't solve some of their problems. I don't see why New Orleans would even consider that trade you just proposed.

I highly highly doubt that the Rockets would give up Dmo for a potential one year rental on Dragic. If that's what the Suns demand, then the Rockets won't trade for Dragic. This is why a 3 team deal with Detroit, that was mentioned earlier, is the best deal. Monroe to Phoenix, Dragic to Houston, first round pick to Detroit (which is what they want).
