Only because Wiggins was in foul trouble, the lakers game, he's on Kobe, and you might remember when Butler suckered Wiggins into that foul at the end of their game. They are not using Brewer as their primary wing defender.
And the reason being..... only for developmental purposes. They are a lottery team. Have nothing better to do than develop Wiggins. So when he's in there he's going to get the toughest perimeter defensive assignment. But..........you can see that Brewer is an ace defender and they put him on the ace offensive player when he is in there.
Gogi was having a bad enough season in Phoenix that they traded him and a 1st round pick to the Rockets for Aaron Brooks who was in the midst of a bad season himself. The Dragon went on to play very well for the Rockets that year and the next.
Then stop making bull**** claims that he's playing like Tony Allen, because again you're missing the forest from the trees, they're using him like Golden State did Iggy, ie the 2ndary defender, who plays on the weak wing (and fills in when necessary) which generates a lot of steals, and not in any way shape or form like Allen (ie the guy who if on the court is on the opponents best wing)
In the game vs the T-Wolves on Dec. 5th, Harden took 17 shots. He was guarded by Wiggins on 7 attempts, Muhammed on 6, Lavine on 2 and once by Thad Young and once by Brewer. Here's the video: http://on.nba.com/1A0Ib6n
His defensive game has elevated to Tony Allen's class. I watch the games. I know what I'm seeing out there.
No , I wouldn't trade DMo for Horford , he's shown to be injury prone .... we have enough of that already. Jones ... I have no idea. I do have some experience with nerve damage as I shattered my hand and messed up the nerves , it took several months to regain full use and three years later it often goes numb. That injury really scares me. I think there is a lot of truth to that bolded part - but I don't think they'll use the full TPE on one guy , makes more sense to me that they shore up multiple positions by taking on a couple smaller contracts from teams headed to the lottery who are looking to shed salary & cash in on guys not in their long term plans. Dalembert from NYK & Ridnour from Orlando ??
Aleron, quit attacking me and talk about basketball. It's fine to disagree. It's not fine to go the personal attack route. You have a terrible habit of doing that.

The issue is that you are a pathological liar, with symptoms of sociopathic personality disorder, which makes it incredibly difficult for anyone to have a discussion about anything, not just basketball, but anything with such a person. How does anyone have a meaningful discussion about any topic with someone who will make stuff up, and then stick so vehemently to those false claims, the only outcome is we surrender to your insufferable bull**** or stop. You have literally no credibility because no one can trust anything you say to have not been completely fabricated, the reason it happens to you (and only you, by multiple people), is quite literally because of you.
Didn't say it did. Not trying to prove it. I just said it. Because I know that Brewer is a top-notch defensive player that is flying below the radar right now. This is just a sampling of his game. Get the steal or force the bad shot and then run out for the finish. He fits what we are trying to do defensively big time. There's a reason lebron wants him. Wonder what it is?
To those mentioning okc as a potential problem in the playoffs, I agree we've had significant problems playing them the past few years. Problem 1: Perk and Adams basically shutting down Dwight due to dirty and tough defense. Problem 2: Ibaka shutting down Hardens paint game. Problem 3: Durant destroying Parsons game after game. Fortunately 2 of these problems imo have become significantly less problematic. The upgrade from Parsons to Ariza on defense is significant and Ariza's length could potentially bother Durant. The new added factor of DMO in the post could deter Ibaka from just camping out in the paint and shutting it down. Idk but for some reason I feel like DMo could abuse Ibaka in the paint. And lastly, the defense on Dwight is the issue I don't believe could be solved. this has happened year after year throughout Dwights career when defended by perkins and Adams is just as tough and dirty when defending dwight as Perk. However, possibly the fact that dmo's post game has been way more efficient as dwights(small sample size but DMO looks legit) would remove the ineffective dwight post ups and can relegate dwight to being the best garbage man and pick n roller in the NBA that would benefit harden as well.
Now on the trade side, I really feel like Dragic could be that second creator that could help remove some of the pressure on Harden to break down the defense every play. This would also relegate Pat to the bench were he wouldn't have to worry about foul trouble and fatigue and could come out aggressive and wreak havoc defensively. They could also stagger minutes to were bev would come in at the 6 min mark with harden till the end of the first and bring dragic to be the second creator for the bench.
