I still think Brewer is a solid fit. He is not the 2nd perimeter creative force we need but he does attack the rim. If you get Brewer, you can rest Harden and keep Garcia on the bench. Plus you add another solid perimeter defender.
I hope we don't get to find out (and if we do I hope you're right), and yeah it did go to 6 games a few years ago, but the Thunder were playing without Westbrook, not to mention this Thunder team is better not than they were back then.
Have you watched any of the games since? Now Westbrook hates Bev and he always plays really really well against him.
Brewer is leading the league in steals. He has become Tony Allenesque on the defensive end. And he is elite in transition both offense transition and the bigger key component which we need a lot of since we turn the ball over so much, he is a great transition defender. He may be the best transition defender in the league right now. Brewer is most likely going to opt out because he is very likely to get a contract in the 4/30 or more range if he is a free agent this off season.
Lance, anyone? http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/12028590/charlotte-hornets-explore-lance-stephenson-trade
Locker room cancer -> having a terrible season -> wasn't even good last season after the first few weeks No thank you
That could easily work to our benefit, the only player in the NBA that can shut down Durant is Westbrook, I'll take him chucking bricks all day long over having Durant involved.
Lol it just crossed my mind how much more we will be hated with Lance on our roster. Going against a Beverley and Stephenson back court would be annoying for the opposition.
At least Beverly's teammates like him, Stephenson is hated by them as much as the opposition. No thank you.
He hasn't been doing that this year (he's shooting 49% for the year). He seems like he's way more under control.
Yeah, which sucks, I was just saying that maybe Bev could get under his skin and make him revert back to the irresponsible chucker that he is at heart. If he manages to maintain the new found efficiency he's been playing with in a small sample this season then the league needs to watch out.
Hornets are ready to move on. Pacers are demanding a #1 to take him back. That's pretty close to "next to nothing" for a guy with all star potential. This is a player only ONE year removed from leading the league in triple doubles. And who said BR will close out games at the 4? He would spell Harden, Ariza and/or Paps. Stephenson can take some of the minutes that Terry, Garcia and Nick Johnson are getting (few of those guys would be lost in the trade anyway). Depending on the match ups, Stephenson is capable of playing 4 out of the 5 positions on the floor, more importantly he can also defend those positions too. Shudder all you want, and Morey may feel the same, but let's not pretend that Stephenson is not talented AND has proven production.
