Haha, as much as Garcia has sucked, he would provide relief to Ariza. I would prefer Ariza play 36 and Garcia 8 minutes (the rest going to papa and Harden) than having Ariza play 42.

 

When Papa comes back he should be exclusively a 3 since we now have 4 healthy bigs.

 

I miss him so much...he's a great passer and finisher.

 

Will Cannan even be in the rotation with Beverley healthy now?

 

I'm thinking Canaan takes the minutes Johnson was playing and Johnson gets shipped back to RGV.

 

What I'm worried about is when Papa and Garcia get back, what happens to Canaan? Remember, he was riding the bench after Bev's first return from the hammy injury because McHale was playing Terry as the backup PG and Garcia as the backup SG.

 

Garcia won't be in the rotation.

Who knows if Canaan will. He didn't see time in the first game but saw some in the 2nd. We'll see I guess.

 

I will trust the coach who made decisions that got us to 18-5 with team compromised of mostly 3rd stringers.

 

My fear is that McHale will run Terry into the ground by playing him too many minutes. He needs to cut down on his playing time and save him for after the All-Star Break and playoffs and Canaan's return allows him to do that.

 

Awesome to get another player back. Canaan can be a beast.

 

I would imagine we are going to see Papa playing a lot at the 4. I don't think Dorsey and Black are going to be getting a ton of minutes going forward.

 

Garcia was riding the bench too until injuries presented a chance to play. My guess is Canaan gets the backup pg spot, Terry gets the backup 2 spot, Garcia gets any fill time when KPap or Ariza is out.

I have to agree with you here. I image Terry could use several games in a row with much lower minutes and Canaan makes that much easier.

Canaan should take some of Terry's minute and Garcias minutes. Johnson will go back to d-league. Black is still going to be the backup center. Dorsey won't play.

 

Will enable us to use bev and Canaan in backcourt to rest harden. Cut down Terry's mins.

 

Terry should be regulated as third PG and split time at SG with Johnson if Nick doesn't go back to RGV. Terry should be used like Memphis used Vince Carter. To make a clutch shot when the main guy can't get open
