Uh-huh , he's causing terror based on Islamic ideology?

Terrorism is not limited to organized, large scale attempts at life.

And yes, it always circles back to islam. Unlike communism in the 70s, islam is a legitimate threat to peace based on what we see over AND over again. Unfortunately, th e re are too many poor people in the Islamic world to understand the lies they're being fed by phony scholars.

About 5 people have escaped, or have been released so far...estimated number of hostages varies from 15 to 40 depending on which news feed you listen too.

Everything is OK though...the Left side of government has already come out and said that 'this has nothing to do with Islam', & that 'islam is a religion of peace...'

Sad that there are so many genuinely good Muslim people in Australia that are going to cop a bad rap over this, but truth is a large proportion of the Muslims in Sydney are radicals.

We already have some non-Muslim no go zones & sharia controlled areas. Our banks are now introducing interest free sharia loans for Muslims & in those areas restaurants like KFC & McDonalds no longer serve bacon...

I hope that none of the hostages gets hurt, but I can't see this ending well...

I have about 7-10 friends that work around that exact area...one friend purchased his coffee at 9:30am on his break...terrorist entered the cafe at 9:45x

When the guy starts making political demands, which will probably happen, it'll become terrorism. Otherwise, taking hostages and wearing ISIS-inspired clothing is just false imprisonment and idiocy. I'm sure there's a whole host of laws to book this guy with once he's caught.

How did you arrive at that conclusion? What's a "large proportion"?

Idiocy is the right word to describe this post.

In what way does this terrorists actions resemble an unarmed, unbombed, masked, looter? Are you just randomly starting a new conversation?

Do you think this person is waving an Islamist flag because his demands are money or material?

    ter·ror·ism
    noun
the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.

If you're going to apply labels, learn to apply them correctly. ATW, I thought you "stopped reading my posts long ago" ... I'm glad you've chosen knowledge over ignorance once again.

Chocolate store guy is a nutjob with a gun. When he espouses a political motivation, he'll become a genuine, bona fide, electrified, six-car terrorist.

He has demanded to speak with the Prime Minister. You think he is gonna ask for a Ferrari?

So your beef is that posters assumed the hostage taker was politically motivated when he demanded to speak to the prime minister and demanded that his ISIS message be broadcast to the people?

    good grief.
