Harden is good at drawing fouls and making free throws. Hakeem was so much better on offense and defense.

He had 378 blocks in one year and Harden's high is 38.
He had 1149 rebounds in one year and Harden's high is 379.
Hakeem made 879 FG in one year and Harden made 585.

Yeah, I don't think anyone in here has the nuts to claim that Harden is better than Hakeem Olajuwon.

McGrady never played in the playoffs in his last season and neither did the Rockets. McGrady got traded to the Knicks. God Bless Daryl Morey.

i thought we were talking about the Rockets.

if we are going to play that game, Tracy couldn't lead his softball team to the playoffs in sugarland.

He's on the road to achieving that title, still too early.

While in Houston, Tmac only had one series(first season) where his true shooting percentage was more than 50 percent. Tmac was a chucker which is why he is a career loser. To put it into perspective, that is lower than Carmelo Anthony which is why Melo has actually gotten passed the first round and second round of the playoffs.

It puzzles me why a fan of the Rockets knowing it's amazing history of players like Olajuwon and Moses Malone would prop up a player like McGrady who

    1. only played 20 playoff games for the Rockets
    2. said MANY TIMES he regret leaving Toronto and Orlando
    3. this year , says he wants to play for the Lakers
    4. number will never be retired and is being passed around like joint at a snoop dog concert
    5. quit on his teammates
    6. lied to his coaches

I don't care how many strippers James Harden supports, he's never shown this type of me first mentality as McGrady.

Sure McGrady shows up to Rockets games now and sits courtside wearing civilian clothes....

that's what he did when he was with the Rockets.

Because your obsession with everything he did wrong is ridiculous and makes us want to point out the good stuff even more. Actually, it's just immature.

No offense, but... actually, I do mean to offend you b/c this is really stupid. You're comparing the rebounds/blocks total of a 7 ft. center and a 6'4" guard? Why don't we compare their assist totals?

I just want people to accept the truth about his tenure with the Rockets and stop making excuses for tenure, career.

They believe he's the exception, this ain't Paramore, he's not an exception, no one in the NBA is.

Yao was a really good player. Tracy was a good player. They are on the same level with Dwight.

Harden stands alone. Just like Hakeem.

Definitely wouldn't make him best big man today.
Interchange him for Harden in these rockets, and we are 10-12.

He just didn't have that ability to carry the team in the 4th. Front him and he is gone.

Yeah, Yao was entirely too easy to game plan for. No game plan works on Harden lately. And Yao never made his players around him better the way Harden is doing.

This isn't even debatable to me. I know Harden has taken us to the next level. I'm absolutely positive about that. Yao, Tracy, Francis... these guys never did that. Harden has made us an elite team.

Yao was better than Dwight, Tracy was a more talented player than Harden is but never lived up to his potential due to the injuries.

Hakeem is head and shoulders above any of them, he stands alone as the Rockets undisputed best player in franchise history. Not saying that Harden can't have an impact and become great, perhaps even lead us to a championship but he has a very long road ahead of him.

Harden does make his teammates better, that much I agree with. He's the best leader we've had since Hakeem.

But, to say Harden is impossible to gameplan for is taking it a bit too far. He's been shut down and looked stupid before. Harden does well against mediocre to subpar teams but still struggles against many of the upper tier teams.

His FG% is putrid, and no MVP has ever won the award shooting the ball as horribly as he is shooting right now. His offensive game relies too much on getting to the FT line, smart defensive teams take away his driving areas and force him to chuck 3pters or defer to another player. Harden has no midrange game, and despite his bulky size he rarely posts up. It's either drive the lane or chuck up a 3pt shot with Harden.

He needs to develop a post up game. He needs to start using the glass to score easy points off of said post up game.

I think Dwight is harder to take out of a game offensively, but obviously Yao had more offensive finesse. Dwight is the better rebounder and finisher around the basket. I do think Yao was better, but Dwight has more potential to win big because he's too hard to marginalize.

He's the easiest guy in the NBA to marginalize, because he can't shoot FT's.

Dwight Howard has led the Orlando Magic to the NBA Finals and he's defensive player of the year. We know what we got in Dwight and Harden, both proven playoff performers.

Last year was the first year of their Rockets campaign together.

    Thank you Daryl Morey!
