    DMO the breakout star?

Jumping on the bandwagon. Until he got traded for LMA/Horford.

I don't see much potential in Klay Thompson either.

Is it too early to start a 'How Much Should Rockets Pay D-Mo' thread?

He's going to get paid the current max. 15 million a year.

Yes. They have another year after this one on their rookie deals. The Rockets really wouldn't have to do anything before Feb of 2016 if they felt they had to trade one because they both will get paid too much in FA.

How much would either guy get paid in FA of they were unrestricted FA's tomorrow? Who knows but I'd be willing to guess somewhere between mid level and the Parsons contract.

Either way it doesn't really matter though. If the Rockets think MotiJones is the answer than you go over the cap to resign either the best one or both regardless.

When T Jones gets back, that's going to resolve the super role player question. I think T Jones is an excellent backup big. He can rebound, handle the ball, shoot and defend. With him, Black, K-Pa, Terry and Cannan our bench will be major

You know he completely outplayed the Memphis duo of Marc Gasol and Zebo in the last meeting against Memphis right?

Between the 3, they can get MVP, DPOY, scoring title and MIP

He hasn't ever traded away anyone with the potential of DMo before though. He trades away the Patrick Patterson's and Marcus Morris' of the world, I'm not sure he trades the DMo's especially since it doesn't seem like he'd get equal return.

his post game is beautiful to watch; like duncan, he should go glass on the mid-range jumper.

    "manimal abuse" cracked me up.

In an interview DM did last season, he made the comment that he gets more calls for teams interested in DMo than any other player because 7 footers with his combination of agility and post moves are rare. I think DM values DMo a lot more than some might think.

Agreed especially since he kept him this long. Why invest in him and trade him when he plays up to his potential. Ofcourse if we get an offer for an great experienced player who morey thinks can get is a ring i am sure he will trade him.

I'm serious! The Rockets FO thought that highly of DMo. They felt the were getting a top 5 pick when they traded for him and he make a great impact from the onset. 3 years later and it's happening!

If we had neg rep I would rarely use it except under one certain condition, which is Laker crap polluting a GARM thread. So, I guess I would really use it a lot. Cease and desist Laker people. Nobody cares about your team or your star except to laugh at them. And to compare a Rocket team to a Lakers team is textbook blasphemy.

With Morey as GM you never know but 7 footers who have a great post game and play tough defense do not grow on trees. I think it would be Jones that gets traded way before DMo. While neither one of the two has reached their full potential, DMo has a much higher ceiling than TJ by a long shot. Guys like TJ are dime a dozen in the NBA while guys like DMo are rare.

I see DMo as more of a Blake Griffin meets World B. Free type of player.

A post game in the NBA today is such a luxury, teams don't know how to defend it because they see it so rarely.

DMo should stay here for YEARS because he gives us a mismatch on the block each and every night, and that is how you win games in the NBA, mismatches.
