Agree. DMO reminds me a lot of a taller Boris Diaw, good to great post moves, really good passer, smart on defense and not a run jump athlete.

I really like the Diaw comparison. He's a bigger version of Diaw with some Pau Gasol mixed in.

He does not have Diaw's handles. Diaw's handles are like Tjones. Too bad his appetite is like Raymond Felton's or he would have been a max contract guy.

Aside from handles that comparison works pretty well. I think it's one of the better comparisons out there.

he came here for emperor maureytus' own amusement.
enslave, having to fight for his own freedom to play,

Tonight's game is a good continuation of what I've always seen about Howard and D-Mo. They can co-exist. Tonight they have flourished. I hope they keep it up going forward.

True twin towers. The real twin towers.

This is the first time since D-Mo became a starter that I thought he had a real chance to unseat Jones as our starting PF. It wasn't just that he meshed well with Dwight -- which was a nice surprise -- or the seven-footer's defense (which at least looks much better than Jones's).

It was watching the Rockets feed him the post three consecutive times in the early second quarter. The offense was sputtering, and the coaches turned to D-Mo to turn it around. He's not going to get lost in the shuffle with Dwight back in the lineup; this team believes in his post-up game now. And if D-Mo's post moves are rolling, there's no way in hell he comes out of the lineup.

Not sure how Jones would take the demotion or if he'd fit in well with the second unit. But big picture, that's a good problem to have.

I agree with you Chucky. I also want to add that Dmo had this quiet confidence in himself. Before when he started next to Dwight he seemed to try too hard and would grip the bat too tight but tonight he was confident and comfortable out there. He was not angry or emotional, he was comfortable and knew he belonged out there. I believe that we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg with how good Dmo is going to be.

D-Mo told to the Lithuanian media that his role model was L. Scola and he tried to mimic his game when he was a kid.
And speaking about D-Mo's defence, I don't know what's got into him, because he never was a good defender and even this summer playing for the national team he was Mo - no D.

D-Mo's role model since he was a kid is Scola. He told that to the Lithuanian media.
However, it's surprising for me that D-Mo became good on defence, because he never was really good and even this summer playing for the national team he was Mo - no D.
