Afflalo is expiring so I don't see why denver would him just to save some cash. Jr is in NYC and it's game over for them. He would prob pick up his next ur option and that could cost them 6mill so I think he's more attainable.

Terry/Ariza/TJ/PAPA and pick gets you Melo! Then do the deal with Minnesota for Brewer give them Capela and a 2nd rounder if we have to for money purposes.

    Dwight
    DMO
    Melo
    Harden
    Beverly

    Canaan Black Brewer

We could even go small with

    Dwight
    Melo
    Brewer
    Harden
    Beverly

That lineup will close out games!

use the trade exception to trade Capela, Johnson and the Pels pick to Denver for Mozgov and Robinson.

Mozgov would be an awesome back up to Dwight and he has 2 years left on his deal... Robinson has been horrid but he is an extra ball handler and we need another. Not the most exciting trade but it would give us a boost at some weak positions.

Having Withey would be too great. He is a perfect fit and he has always reminded me of myself (I'm in highschool) , a back-up, white, big man with a very limited amount of PT! Lol but seriously, I think he would be a great fit. Maybe my dream could come true!

Trade with Philly. They don't want to win and might want some picks. They just traded for AK just for a pick so maybe they're interested in 2nd rounders.

The key is to get KJ McDaniels. They also give either Shved (not many minutes when Wroten returns) or Mbah a Moute (gives us a defender and PF).

What do they want? Second rounders and $?

Wilson Chandler and Kenneth Faried for Daniels, Capela, NOP 1st, and 2 2nd rounders

With Denver doing so poorly, it would seem likely they'd blow up their team, and also there are rumors about Faried. Chandler has been in trade rumors because he's eating gallinaris minutes. Wouldn't call this trade fair at all but it could be possible.

    Beverly/Canaan/Johnson
    Harden/Chandler/Terry
    Ariza/Papa/Garcia
    Faried/Jones/Black
    Howard/DMo/Dorsey

Kenneth Faried is a nice player but bad fit with us (spacing). Chandler is both a nice player, wonderful fit because of his skill set (2, 3 & 4) and contract is more than friendly. If you want to add a player Foye is a D&3 combo (1, 2) guard that would see rotation time on a total healthy Rocket team on a friendly contract.

    WC & Foye
    ...for...
Daniels, Llull's rights, NOP 1st, and 2 2nd rounders PLUS Garcia AND $

use the Lin's TE to absorb the cost.

You all should quit posting trades bringing non-superstar players and sending out the Pels pick. They're simply not going to happen. Morey is not going to trade his ace asset for anything less than a superstar or another ace asset (lottery pick in a later draft). With only one possible exception. That is he gets a very, very good player on a rookie deal and still has the cap space to sign a max free agent next season. And that is nigh near impossible to do.

His "ace asset" is a 9-12 pick in next years draft AT BEST. Pelicans are heavily underrated. That being said, a 9-12 pick isn't going to land you a superstar.

By itself, IF it is 9-12, it may not land a superstar. But it might not land you a superstar if it was #4 either. And...it could wind up at #4 if Davis goes down for a significant time. (And that possibility just now exists with his chest contusion. That's around a 2 month recovery time.)

Regardless, the Pels pick is our ace asset and as such represents our BEST CHANCE to land a superstar. We may have to merge it with other assets. But without it our chances of landing a superstar through trade go into the dumpster.

Morey will keep the Pels pick if he can't get the right trade that lands him a superstar or else a star on a very low rookie contract that allows him to have cap space this summer to pursue a big time free agent.

we dodged a bullet not getting Melo, that guy is locker room cancer and can't lead a team for ****. Don't need a chucker taking touches away from harden right now.

Id rather have us use the pick to get an upgrade at the bench and a starter position that use it to get a rookie who might not pan out.

I didn't say a rookie. I said a rookie contract. And if you're talking about drafting a guy.....I trust Morey will trade the pick for better value (perhaps a better pick in a later draft) rather than let it depreciate.

Ok but what players on a rookie contract right now would be traded for the pick? And somewhat equal in value.
