Jones is one of those players that if he blossoms correctly, he can be a one of a kind player in this league. Probably not a perennial allstar but a player that can bee the third best player on a championship team. The skills are there. Freak athlete, point guard skills in a real power forward body, seemingly endless potential. In 2 to 3 years, I can see him averaging 18 and 9 with 2 blocks.

It remains to be seen if the Rockets are willing to wait 2 to 3 years for him to fully develop but what he has been giving now (14 and 7) is not too shabby.

Defensively, he probably won't ever be a great defender. But he has potential to be a good defender. Again, he has the tools to be a good defender. Long, quick, great shot blocker already, good rebounder when he tries. Right now, he doesn't have the strength needed to hold his own against the stronger power forwards and he loses focus too much. But with experience and a little more strength, he can be a plus.

After Harden, who I think has another gear in his game that we are beginning to see, Jones has the most potential on this team followed by Canaan, Johnson, Pap, Dmo and Capela. You don't trade away that kind of potential unless you are getting a definite long upgrade, especially when Jones is putting quality numbers now.

Terrence Jones has the opportunity to be special.

His age, his production, his individual skillsets, his nose for the ball and his ability to finish around the rim... Once he gets a little older, a little wiser, the potential for this kid is pretty scary.

I love Donatas, but I love Jones too.

Jones is at his best playing the energy guy/garbage man on this team. No one else currently on the roster has the ability to play this role. He's also added a 3P shot this season or at least he seems confident at shooting it than previous years.

I don't want to see Jones handle like a PG he's so awkward dribbling the ball.

It's actually becoming a little funny, in a sad kind of way. The same way his signature has grown to encompass every possible eventuality, so that he can say "I told you so" no matter WHAT happens. x_x

Really? So tell me again who are 22 year old power forwards in the NBA that can average 14 PPG and 7.5 RPG with the type of handles the TJones has and is playing as the 4th option on offense?

The thing sammy has going on with T Jones is annoying. Get over it.

TJones is a poor defender and decent rebounder whose points are mostly gimme/cleanup baskets. He's not all that impressive. DMo can actually defend and create his own shots via silky post moves. He's also a true 7fter, and you can't coach height.

If we're losing one, i'd much rather it be Jones. I think DMo can develop into a Pau/Marc Gasol type PF/C. If I went through a time portal and told past-me that, past-me would have laughed his ass off. But here we are. I usually roll my eyes when CF posters compare young Rockets to current stars. But here we are.

DMo is the most exciting player on this team.

    Yeah...not really that impressive.

This is going to take quite a few assumptions. Let's say we nab Kanter with a TE. Give Utah some pick and/or Daniels for sweetening. The Suns continue their downward spiral/mediocrity treadmill run.

    Could this deal potentially work?

    Rockets in:
    Goran Dragic, Gerald Green

    Suns in:
Terrence Jones, Isiah Caanan, Enes Kanter*, NOP 1st Rounder

Rockets get their 3rd piece (I think Dragic is all-star caliber). He's a secondary playermaker and scorer who can take some of the burden off of Harden. Gerald Green may be a one year rental, but he provides athleticism, sharpshooting, and some defense at the 2/3 position. I think we'll still have a hole at backup C, but hopefully Okafor will be healthy come the home run stretch.

Phoenix fixes their possible chemistry issue by giving Thomas the starting PG spot. Caanan acts as a sparkplug off their bench, and Kanter is a former #3 pick who's a legitimate center and may even be an upgrade of Plumlee. T-Jones is a wildcard. He's brimming with potential; we've all seen it. I believe him & 'kieff would be a hell of a PF combo, and could close out games together.

    Dragic/Beverley
    Harden/Terry
    Ariza/Green
    D-Mo/K-Pap
    Howard/Black

    Thomas/Caanan
    Bledsoe/Warren
    Tucker/Morris
    Morris/Jones
    Plumlee/Kanter

I'd be curious to know what Boston would want for Tyler Zeller. He's having a good year and is a legit backup center.

People don't want to admit it, but we really miss him. He was a big reason for us going 10-1 to start the season.

Have you seen Ainge deal much? (I mean, why is Bass still parqueted?) He has a number of nice pieces, Sullener would look good here*, but seems reluctant to do anything but wait on his Harden.

And at the 5? Boston is bare there from A-Y, Z-eller is not moving IMO.

*Sully can hit the 3 and guard the 5, particularly against most non-top echelon bigs.

Tjones could be the perfect sixth man if he puts it all together. He really needs to work on that Jumpshot though. Could be a Lamar Odom type of player.

What? I don't have anything with T Jones. I wouldn't be opposed to trading him for the right player but he's a good player that plays hard at a young age. I know that he contributed to a championship in college and looked awesome before his injury.

Actually, this may be my first post even going into any detail about Jones so don't talk out of your rear.
