And people complain about Harden. Guys like him get to the line off jumpers. It's pretty weak and lame.
I get why they complain about Harden, but i also understand what he does and how he gets fouls, i understood it when he was in okc, hated it but understood it, he's like a lawyer, he knows the rules better than you and beats you on technicalities, people hate lawyers. But I can't say that for Aldridge, i get the shot fake jump ins, but when he gets near the rim, it feels like, if he misses it's going to be an automatic whistle. There are very few players i can look at and consistently think "i have no clue why that's a foul", and he's one of them.
That makes a lot of sense. Maybe they should let AB run the point? From the little time he was out there, it looked like his role was just to be a spot up shooter. I don't know what to think of McDermott. He was the main man in college, so I'd expect for him to have a learning curve on how to handle the little things he must do as a role player. I just haven't watched him enough to know if he'll be able to become that solid defender, that dependable 3 point shooter, that great screen setter that Thibs covets. I am impressed though with their other rookie, Mirotic. His hustle and versatility will keep him in this league for a long time. It's also a joy to watch Derek Rose. He plays the game in slow motion, and it seems he could just stay in the air forever.
