The Rockets would be stupid to let that happen

    w00t 3rebs in 30mins...

    I agree that's a bad number for a 7 footer in 30 mins

It's because he stopped shooting the 3 ball and got comfortable in the post. Next progression, add an 18 foot jumper

maybe someone could somehow check how much rebounds rockets team grab with and without Dmo on the floor?

That's a superficial way of looking at the stats. The real stat is how many rebounds does the team get when DMo is on the court versus when he is off the court. DMo boxes out really well and usually leaves those rebounds for Harden or any other guard. That's why Harden's rebounds are often inflated while DMo gets this unfair reputation of a terrible rebounder.

    DMo's last 10 games:

    32.9mpg / 15.0ppg (57% FG) / 7.5rpg / 1.8apg

When Dwight comes back, I would like to see DMO come off the bench. Can't have Dorsey and Black manning the post together... It's like a 3 on 5 match-up on Offense. Need a post scorer and defensive big all 48 mins on the floor. However, I kind of think Black/Dorsey will clog the paint up for Dwight, rendering him useless. Hmm. Maybe start DMO and Dwight and staggering their minutes is probably what the coaches are gonna do.

If this keeps up, maybe through the end of December, who thinks he should be our new starting PF instead of Jones once he returns? I know T jones has put up monster numbers but his defense is not good and gets lit up by LMA & Dirk types due to his size.

I guess it depends on what coaches decide is the biggest asset that DMo brings to this team - is it his defense or his offense? If it's the D, then we can definitely start him alongside Dwight not worrying about their cohesiveness on the offensive end, if it's the O however, then DMo probably should come off the bench and provide that scoring spark as well as the defense. He could be our own Manu in a center's body.

As impressive as Dmo has been on offense, which is what I saw in him from the get go. His defense is much more impressive to me because he would always foul and just looked lost. This year his positioning and rotations are perfect, he knows his limitations and doesn't try to block shots that causes fouls and a great PnR defender.

A couple of 15 point games more and DMo would finally average double digits points. Clearly the injuries of Howard and T. Jones has allowed more minutes for DMo and the surprise discovery that the guy's improved leaps and bounds.

Let's hope this continues even with the return of Dwight and T. Jones

Start and stagger is the way to go Until Jones is right. Then reassess how the starting thing has been working.

I cant figure out who else would start next to Dwight? Black and Dorsey would just take away his space.

Yes, he became the first player in NBA history to foul out last night.

It isnt lack of size which hurts. Jones is big (6'10 250 7'3 wingspan). It is application. His defensive numbers on this season are impressive, but small sample size. Could be reason to believe he has stepped up his efforts like Harden?
