Houston reached out to Utah about Kanter, but the thought now is they may look to resign him afterall... Still undecided.

I have cooled down on him. I agree no need to go there.

Me neither and he's horrible on defensive rotations which is everything this team is about

I like Amir Johnson or Wilson Chandler but no to Kanter.
Seems like Morey is trying to find very under valued players.

I would welcome Wilson Chandler's versatility. He would be a good replacement for Garcia, and more importantly fit in well with James Harden. K-Pap could still get decent minutes as a combo 3/4.

Wilson Chandler would be great relief for Trevor Ariza plus a much need BIG that can play in the front court if necessary.

Need a legit backup C. Especially with the mystery of Howard's knee.

Picking up chandler would be great. I think on our team he'd be really good.

Need to take a chance on a center of the future with Dwight's bone on bone knee issues.

Yeah, Kanter was a guy I thought might be available this year due to (a) the emergence of Rudy Gobert as a viable NBA center and (b) his desire to get PAID this summer when Utah already had two young bigs they could build with. I figured Utah would be better suited to get something for Kanter now rather than have to match an overpay or watch him walk away for nothing. But Enes has been pretty good (not great) this year, and bigs with offensive skills like his are not very common.

Kanter would probably be a nice fit here, most likely as a backup PF/C through whom some of the 2nd unit offense could be run through in the post. Perhaps that would allow the team to start Motiejunas at PF even after Jones returns (assuming neither of those guys is traded for Kanter).

It will be very interesting to see what Utah ends up doing with Kanter. After all, this is the same franchise that got NOTHING in exchange for Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap due to their reluctance to trade them before they hit free agency.

Funny how that works. "Kanter sucks, Jesus, why did you draft him? Hold on, I gotta get this. Wow, I think it's Morey. Hello? Hi. Who? Well, no, we love the guy. LOVE him. Thanks for calling. That was Morey asking for Kanter. Was I wrong? Hmn, better go offer him an extension, no way I'll let nerd-boy Morey get him."
