I would like to pay money not to see this guy play bball ever again

We are better playing with 4 guys than out there with him in the line up

Haven't seen the game but the boxscore seems to say he had a good defensive game (what he was signed for):
    9rbs, 2ast, 5stl and 1 block

Absolutely, dead wrong. His defense has been fantastic...

Bravo Joey Dorsey, bravo Daryl Morey...

Hes probably our best screen setter. Even better than howard imo. Did you guys see the scrren he set in OT that allowed Harden to just walk through the middle of the lane uncontwsted? That was awesome and unfortunately does not show in the boxscore.

He looks ok in a couple of games and borderline horrible in the others.

Overall looks like a minimum, below average signing this past offseason.

He's an offensive liability. Good defender though.

we knew that right ? If we didn't have so many injuries, we wouldn't discuss Dorsey performances so much. He is getting paid 2mil/2year deal. His next season guaranteed money is the only problem with this signing.

He was embarrassingly bad in the first 3 quarters, but he played great in the 4th and OT.

my main complaint is that he is a terrible team defender and often messes up rotations and positioning. IQ of a rock

Opposing players may drive to the basket and think he's dwight so they hesitate on their lay up, that's what he's good for, being a dwight look alike.

I've seen him miss a rotation here or there, but he seems to understand defense. Offense no so much.

Completely stopped the Kings momentum late after forcing a few turnovers. He's got great hands defensively.

This thread should be locked. He holds his own so as Black. We were getting killed with Dmo playing center. Don't ****ing do that **** again. Great pf, not a center.

-Dorsey and black are not perfect but they come in set screens & get rebounds and have fouls to give. That's great out of a $1,000,000 and under a year player.

-Both guys are improving as the season goes on.

-Good signings by morey if we didn't have them both we would be in bad shape right now with howard being out.

#1 thing they need to work on is just dunking the put backs !! If Nick Johnson can do it they can

Joey Dorsey actually LEADS the team in Defensive Rating for now. Currently 2 points more than Dwight Howard. (Clint Capella doesnt count)

    www.basketball-reference.com/teams/HOU/2015.html#per_poss::29

It seems the ones who've commented on Dorsey's good D, the stats go with the eye test

He's not a big minutes player, didnt win center backup C job, but he's about doing what a minimum salary end of bench player should be doing considering his noted ability as an all D no O player.

I think once Dwight comes back. Dorsey and Black's minutes will be limited behind the 5 and 4 respectively. They should be ok in spot minutes.
