How about Marc Gasol, Bosh, Big Al, Millsap, LMA, R Lopez, D Jordan, Boogie, Asik, ZBo, Hibbert, Vucevic, Valanciunas, Noah? You could really call those guys riddled with injuries.
This Spears guy does seem to hate the Rockets, but what got me is it appears to be a quote directly from Dwight. Rereading the original quote I think Spears used Dwight's slip up to make the injury sound like something it isn't. He took one part of what he said (incorrectly) and ran with it to make it sound bad. He just wants clicks. The Pelicans are 10-11 which is 10th in the toughest division in the tougher conference in the NBA. The Kings are 11-11 and the Suns are 12-11 so as you can see they are only 2 wins out of being in the playoffs. There problem is not Asik it is they have no one in there starting line up who can knock down the three outside of Holiday. Evans is a chucker and he's finally starting to realize hoisting up shots isn't smart when you're shooting close to 30%. It's so bad they tried starting Rivers and he still can't shoot and now they are starting Babbit to space the floor. They value Asik's defense and rebounds more than Anderson's ability to space the floor. They are so desperate they signed Jimmer Fredette man. Let's wait until Eric Gordon (there max player who has only played 12 games this season) returns before we start judging. Omer Asik is averaging 8/11 and 1 block. He is still changing shots at the rim merely do to his presence and winning the battle of the boards every night. Good basketball isn't always pretty.
What's wrong with my username? This is the second time someone said something about it after Swoly. Do you guys know what crashing the boards mans?
Dude, I'm like 99% sure people on this forum know what it means. Anyone that doesn't know probably doesn't belong here or shouldn't be participating.
Thank you. Back on topic. I can't wait until Saturday. I miss seeing Dwight on the court and I hope he looks great out there!
You don't simply go from never having knee problems to bone on bone. Secondly bone on bone isn't something that improves, the PRP treatment, and his quotes all suggest he is trying to get healthy. Spears just took it out of context and used its as a headline grabber.
No Kidding, I got that when I was in my late 30s..My cartilage is pretty much gone, plus the liguid between the knee caps..it's painful to run in. I get injections once a year for a little cusion... I hope he doens't have it as bad as I do...
Apologies if it's been mentioned, already but when we first landed Howard which was only 15months ago, I presume a medical was done right? So if Howard's knees are 'bone on bone' that CAN NOT be something that has only occurred in that time and there must've been signs of that when we brought him on. So the stories either BS or whomever did the medical didn't do their job properly or the FO accepted the risk. Either way, I hope D12 comes good and displays the MVP form talked about pre-season.
lol If Howard only had 'bone on bone' he would not be playing again ever and be retiring. The same article also mentioned that he had some cartilage. He probably has arthritis and with his constant conditioning means he will deteriorate soon. We just know how soon we have or at what level we can expect during this time frame. We are going to need to find a real good top tier big man to replace Howard when needed in the line up and again when he is gone. The clock is ticking but when before we assumed we had a limited time with Howard due to him leaving us for another team we have scarce time due to him being out for good.
I expect it is because it is howard saying it. It is hard to have a lot of faith in his off the cuff remarks.
Except not really! Is it really unexpected that Dwight would have knee issues? This is a 6 10" athletic freak who has used that ability to the maximum throughout his 11 seasons and 777 regular season games @ 36 minutes per game. Of course he's going to develop injury issues. Poor guy even had a bad diet until recently due to lack of guidance/knowledge. The $21 million we're paying for his talent and skill is worth the risk. We just have to keep hoping injury issues are delayed for as long as possible.
