Meh, the Warriors beating the Rockets is like the Texans beating the Colts, they don't care that the Rockets had a barebones roster, they NEVER beat the Rockets. Let them have their fun, it could be years before they beat the Rockets again.
Why do you read other teams forums, bro? Of course they're going to be happy because they're having their best start in franchise history. Considering how stacked the west is right now, if you come back and read this post next month they may be a 5th seed.
I think they have been the least injured outside of the Blazers, Mavs and Grizz correct? The Rockets, Spurs, Thunder and Clippers have been dealing with injuries, correct? Some more than others.
Injuries or not, anyone who believes that the Warriors will finish at the same pace of the 96 Bulls is a friggin moron. They are not that good, not by a longshot. They have benefited from a light schedule and have played some heavy hitters who didn't have their best players. Maybe the Warriors will be the luckiest team of all time and finish with 70 wins, but I doubt it.
Warriors are overrated. If you watched both games vs the Rockets you'd see it, there win streak consist of 90% of the teams being either under manned or under .500.
Actually, they were missing their starting center and starting PF... both of which are all-star, or near all-star level players. They were just deeper as a team to begin with... injuries are not a really solid excuse... we were close enough to have a shot to win, but we got no production from our bench, we missed a bunch of free throws and had too many turnovers. I have less patience with the "ran out of gas" since we had a few days off.
They're 19-2. Let them have their fun. Other forums would react the same way to what goes on here during a winning streak, so let's leave that glass house intact.
lmfao exactly.. We do the same things. You can't expect everyone to feel the same about your team as you do. They feel that way about their team. I personally enjoy some friend trash talk.
Depth for the rockets is an issue when they are missing 2 starters and 2-3 rotation players. That plus playing on the road factors heavily in favor of Golden State. Do you think they get all those easy drives to the lane late in the game if Howard was healthy and playing?
This wasn't even our final form. Yet, they want to say the excuse of "ha, we didn't even have bogut." Well, that's nice... but let's talk about missing players when you have 5 of them on the bench and have to do a 8 man rotation.
No doubt depth is a Rocket problem. Exasperated by having two players on the roster that are essentially unplayable (Capellas and (!) Daniels, and to a lesser degree Dorsey). But even without injuries the Warriors bench is stronger than the Rockets. If Howard was on the floor in the fourth... yea, sure, it would have been tougher for the Warriors to take the ball inside. But you could have said the same for the Rockets if Bogut was in there. And who knows... would Howard have even been on the court (foul troubles?, removed due to FT shooting?). Ultimately... the Rockets had to play with the folks on the floor. I am not too stressed that they lost against an arguably better team on the road and with a short roster. But I am concerned that this will be an ongoing problem as they play more of the WC teams. We can't have so many roster spots taken by players you can't play.
