First post, although I've read as "guest" for 3 years now, also a mavs fan.

Before I get run out of here I'd like to say I've watched about 15 Rockets games and 12 or so spurs games this year to date due to the inner state rivaly. Honestly outside of the Spurs I feel Rockets may be the toughest team come post season and I don't hate the rockets like I hate the spurs. GS can't win if splash bros aren't splashing in playoffs, Rockets can play to their opponent with the roster they have with an inside outside game and elite defense. If I were a Rockets fan I'm actually very ok with TJ taking his sweet time getting back cuz DMO looks to be gaining confidence by the game with all the run he's getting. All the mins the bench players are getting with all the injuries is great while maintaining a top record in the loaded west. Harden will need these guys come playoff time when the calls are stingy and getting the free throws becomes tough. I think if Kpap plays this game the Rockets win, obviously if dh12 plays rockets win too but just getting kpap back would do wonders.

When dh12 comes back Ariza will find those shots where he has a foot of space having 3-4 feet of space and his poor shooting will round out. All the effort on defensive end with all the injuries is clearly having an impact on the body for those 3's that aren't falling. When Rockets are healthy terry and ariza both can fire up shots that are much more open and terry's mindset is always a quick trigger 6th man with limited mins and limited responsibility elsewhere his shot will start falling with those extra bodies.

Enjoyed the game felt like a playoff game even with players out, neither team wanted to lose rockets just ran outta gas with the lack of health.

Lol, here come the trolls on their new accounts. Warriors are a different team under kerr, don't care how we played them last year. You can sit here crying about no one liking you with jay, or you can try to improve your team as respect is earned. I know which one guys like me choose, and which one girls like you choose.

We looked really tired. Again. The call for reinforcements is real and official.

I am sure they are working on it. At least the Rockets have the assets and flexibility to add quality reinforcements.

He thinks the Rockets are some old, slow and unathletic team without their two most athletic players. Also, Canaan is athletic and Papa makes up for it with his craftiness.

You guys saw it all season. We take Dwight out and it's a lay up drill. The rockets have improved without him at stopping that, but they obviously need him as shown in the fourth quarter. He would have sent Klays layups into the third row and then he would have bricked more threes against us.

Dude, 6.75 posts per day... chill man. The forum will be fine without interjecting every single thought you or I have. Nothing looks dumber than someone fighting with someone who doesn't answer.

See, this is a much better post. No insult or calling people kids or little girls.

Any ways, I'm not worried about the Warriors. Klay Thompson always has bad games against us and Curry never really lights us up like he does other teams. Harden has great games against this team as well. They are not really all that athletic to me. The Clippers are, the Warriors are just a really skilled team with some nice big men. I think we have better big men than them when healthy Howard/Jones/Dmo over any two players they choose to play. I think Harden outplays both Curry and Thompson when they meet...

We were just missing a lot of our athletic players like Canaan and his speed and Jones who is probably our most athletic player (if Dwight is on bad knees). So i'm not worried. Clippers scare me more because even when we were healthy we got beat pretty bad.

If we saw the Warriors in the playoffs I'd be scared. Because they are in the west, if OKC makes the playoffs every team in the West has a shot...but other than that nope.

    Clippers
Spurs - Because they champions and know how to win
    Memphis
    OKC
    Dallas
    Portland
    Warriors

So out of those 7 teams, the Warriors scare me the least. Could they win in a series? I'm sure, just like I wasn't scared of Portland (and still am not. It took Harden having his worst series ever and a miracle shot and guys like LMA getting every call and some lucky bounces to beat us) guys can get hot, $#%@ can happen and next thing you know your team has lost.

They are a great team, I just don't think they'd beat us in a 7 game series.

Man, listen. I'm super excited to see this team at full strength, but I don't even think we need the whole squad to beat GSW. If we had even one of Dwight / TJ / Canaan / Papa, this would have been a totally different game. Only reason I'm irritated is b/c the media continues to fellate the Warriors and I *know* we can beat them. Just sort of frustrating.

Whatever. Some of us don't mind Jay posting when an ex Rocket player who won 2 rings here leaves James Harden off his MVP list. Kenny hopped off the Rockets long ago because it's the cool thing to do. It's fine, but I truly believe James Harden is an MVP candidate and at least deserves to be mentioned. He has been carrying this team and for Kenny to put guys that haven't played well or been playing at all this season? It shows me where he stands.

I don't care about ESPN or some other crappy reporter. Anyways, if you post in the game threads it adds up quickly. Not sure why that bothers you.

What's new though? They ALWAYS ride the Warriors bandwagon. People live seeing three pointers and dunks, especially when they are contested in the fourth.

I don't care about it, I just ignore the idiots on twitter and post when the Rockets win. This is my outlet when they lose. :p

Lee will probably be coming off the bench even when he gets healthy. Draymond Green fits much better in the starting lineup, great defense and creates matchup problems. Is shooting lights out from 3 as well.

Yeah man, I'm just wondering what is up with Kenny. JVG is always going out of his way to give the Rockets love. Tonight he bought it up out of nowhere and he had to force Mark Jackson to give the Rockets credit. Then they hyped up this win for the Warriors as if they beat us full strength. Record is mighty impressive though, I just thought they'd give the Rockets some love but on TNT/NBA TV Rockets love is harder to come by moreso than ESPN.

I mean you got guys like Rick Fox who straight up insulted Dwight one night. You got Shaq who dumps on Dwight whenever possible and you have Charles who probably says about 5 good things about the Rockets this season. Kenny meanwhile usually just sits and agrees. I know he's not wearing a jersey still or anything I just wished he'd interject sometimes. Not going to hate Kenny Smith though never. Just would be nice to have one guy on NBA TV/TNT mildly like the Rockets.

I bet win or lose tomorrow on TNT, if we win they will downplay the win or if we lose they will up hype the loss.

People think these media comments DO NOT matter but they do, because they decide who wins the MVP award. So actually it DOES matter what these guys are saying and the narrative they build for the year. As such, the media's pure adoration for Curry is proving it is his award to lose right now. They finish tops in the West he's going to win MVP.

Hopefully though it'll lead to a Hakeem like revenge campaign for Harden :p

What was more frustrating to me was to hear this guy on NBA TV say about the Warriors. "And they are doing this without Lee and Bogut!" as if he were just shocked at it.Hey guy, what about the team they just played? I mean he's giving the Warriors credit for what WE are actually doing, which is playing through a rash of injuries.

Having one guy (Bogut) resting one game, and missing one rotational player is nothing. Nearly every team rests a guy here and there and has one guy who isn't playing. To sit here and act like the Warriors are the ones winning despite injuries is hilarious and proves how bad they root for certain teams.

Any ways, I rather post it in the game thread then start a new thread on it. So people that don't like it can get over it (unless you are a moderator of course) I felt it was on topic and related to game and didn't feel making a new thread about what some guys on NBA TV said just deserved a passing comment.
