    Just read this: http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/sto...armelo-anthony-heart-team-discord-sources-say

I don't put much weight on it but lets throw out a trade in light of this 'ground breaking' espn article.

    NY In: Jet, a 2nd

    Hou In: Jason Smith, Hardaway

I doubt this would actually happen but here is my logic:

NY- Wants too dilute bad chemistry, values veteran leaders. Smith is expiring. With Jet and better team chemistry could attempt a playoff run.

Hou- Back up center, and a young backup SG that isn't undersized.

    The problems I see:
NY- A) Don't feel the chemistry situation is Hardaway's fault
    B) Want more than old jet and a 2nd for a talented young player and solid center

Hou- A) Jet is playing too good to be downgraded to Hardaway
    B) Jason Smith is injured this season and will walk in FA

Feel free to comment on value of trades, how trade can be improved, or if my reasoning for and against are bs.

The article says they are shopping JR Smith. He is at 5,982,375 this year and a player option of 6,399,750 next. Obviously we could absorb that with the Lin exception but would need a roster spot. Who would you rather have JR Smith or Corey Brewer? Could we get MN or NY to pay us a 2nd round pick to take them off their hands?

"high-level players in exchange for the exception and a low-level asset like a second-round pick"

    Gogi, Faried, Rubio?

How 'high level' is Rubio? He might be better in international FIBA play than in the NBA.

I wouldn't touch J R Smith with a 10 foot pole. Would much rather have Corey Brewer, but MN is expecting a descent return. To them it isn't a salary dump.

The Wolves looked competitive before Rubio went down.

How much would TMac cost us? Same age as Jet, and I believe he could play better, for a year or 2.
