Depends on who the 3rd piece is. But right now, I'd hate to give up D-Mo. His post play has been almost as important to this 7-3 run without Dwight as Harden. Even when Dwight comes back(whenever the hell that is), I hope when the ball goes into the paint, it's primarily through D-Mo. Just imagine the Rockets dumping the ball into Dwight late in the 4th quarter down 4 against the T'Wolves last Friday instead of D-Mo. Think that hook shot and 2 free throws still get made forcing OT?
I'm glad you have friends in high places, but the I can't share what Morey said is extremely annoying! If you can't/won't share his response then what is your point in bringing him up? I'd rather not know you had information, than know you have information and can't/won't share it! Regardless, I'll admit that I am a little jealous, I wish I could have lunch with Maury!... ....... ....... .......
Another grain 0f salt, but - - Bulls don't want to pay Gibson next year, but would pay Tragic? They are the big market team that operates like a small market team. Terry + Pels / Gibson? I'm on that like stink on stuff. Then the TE absolutely needs to get the 1/2 in to replace the Fountain of Youth JET. Alas, if it only were happening'...
I'm as big of a D-Mo fan as there is out there, but its pretty blatantly obvious around there that the D-Mo homer-ism is at an all time high around here lately. The guy is vastly improved over the last 10 games or so, but he has a whole 2 + seasons to overshadow, and its going to take some more time to really make GM's around the league say "that is a guy we can build around". "A Guy I can Build Around" is the key word here when looking at young players around D-Mo's age and contract maturity. Has D-Mo REALLY answered that question yet? I think he's trending up, but its going to take a little bit of time. And if that continues to be the case (which I hope) why would the Rockets then want to trade him? It would be like getting a Bosh or Horford type, but much, much earlier in their careers. So if D-Mo is as good and as valued as he is around the league as you think he is, why in the world would Houston want to trade him? (Might be we are getting a little ahead of ourselves guys)
I'm all in for Gibson... But not on the same train with you on trading Terry... Terry is more valuable to this team then most on the board realize.. T_Man
Dobro, you could see him turning the corner months ago and now with the burn, it's happening with leaps and bounds. The Rockets BIg Man factory..CD, Dream, Lurch...have done an incredible job working with him...and DMo has wanted it. He's got a GREAT Go - to Post up game already...is a fantastic passer with a beautiful feel for the game...plays in the flow..Otherworldly speed for a man his size..His defense is top drawer...and his three is starting to come around. I don't want to Trade him, just trying to get some folks to realize what we have here. No way, I deal him...perhaps, in a move for a superstar.
I can't see any possible trades for DMo unless it yields up a superstar at the 4-spot. IOW the only deal I think Morey would consider for DMo at this point would be for LaMarcus. I don't think he'd even deal Donuts for Millsap at this point.
Since you guys think Dmo is pretty much untouchable doesn't that make Jones (when healthy) very expendable?
Plowman, Do you think the Donuts hype this year on this board approaches anywhere close to the Terrence hype from last season? Do you see any way Terrence could develop into a better player than DMo at this point?
This. D-Mo has more value than he did a month ago but he is not an elite trade piece. Also, all these people claiming they wouldn't deal D-Mo for Dragic or Milsap are insane.
No it's not! Dream had sessons with Howard & Dmo to hone their bb skills. Theatre is acting. Batman's honing DM's acting skills for the trade deadline. Y'all need to think before you type!
