One more steal and two more assists while playing a whole two minutes less.

Another attempt to miscontrue a story using weak evidence.

By the way, you should fix your website because it offends my Harvard law degree.

so who was starting? Price or Lin?

    The starting lineup worked.

Go tell Byron Scott that! God and Lin fans want him to start!

Lin seems like a cool dude, I don't want him to fail. I hope he gets it together so that he can at least find himself in a favorable situation next season.

I doubt the Lakers want to keep him and I doubt he'd want to return to play with Kobe who is determined to never retire and hold the Lakers organization hostage any ways

At this pace, I predict Lin will be out of the league in 2 years, which is a shame. I had high hope for him.

Look at all his competitors or counterparts, Beverley, Dragic, Lowery, etc. they all get better and better, every summer.

In NBA, you can't be an average talent and not improving your game one way or the other, and expect to survive, especially at PG position. This guy doesn't seem to fully appreciate the opportunity to start for a NBA team. He may never get the opportunity again.

Price was a disaster. The Kings were basically ignoring him the whole game to double Kobe. He wasn't very good on defense either.

Lin played better than his stats would tell... he was certainly part of the reason the bench was outplaying the starters. His shot has not been falling for several games now, though.

Why post rational, on topic discussion and get no replies when you can just insult Lin and start a mini ****storm every time?

People like tinman, king2, zboy who live vicariously through this message board will always choose the latter.

The Lakers won tonight because SAC played dumb basketball in the 4th-- on top of missing a ridiculous number of FTs.

The new starting lineup has little to do with the win. The Lakers' first unit got beat by SAC's pretty badly. The Lakers' positive results came with the 2nd unit on the floor and with the crunch time unit (which was, I think, Kobe, Johnson, Boozer, Ellington and Young). But a big part of it is just the Cousins-less Kings playing some dumb basketball.

I would hesitate to judge Lin by this season-- the Lakers are one of these special abyss teams where many players are made to look bad. SAC a few years back was like this. Aaron Brooks, Chuck Hayes, and Patrick Patterson have all been decent rotation guys and even starters on other teams both before and after their SAC stint and they looked incompetent in SAC.

pretty much what separates him from others. Lin always says "i gotta work hard" and what not, but its just not coming anymore. Maybe thats all he has and he's surpassed his ceiling with that stroke of luck, and now he's settled down to where his talent lies.

All these other players are getting better, and lin isn't exactly getting worse, he's just not improving. Still playing the same way he did in houston when he came here for the first time. Same boneheaded plays, turnovers, jumping in the air and not knowing what to do with the ball, maybe its just a mental thing..

he's got his work cut out for him. If he doesn't improve any this season nobody is going to want him after this season, and its going to be sad when no one will pay over a million for him going from 15

At this rate, small sample size apart, I doubt Lin is that much better for this Lakers team than Price. It was clear Beverley was the superior player to Lin here at the Rockets and rightly demoted Lin to the bench but I thought Lin was a clearly better player than Price.

However, they both had similar minutes last night and produced identically while Lakers got the win. So far Scott is justified in his decision. 1-1 with Price starting vs 5-15 with Lin.

Mchale was smart enough and saw that pbev is clearly better as a starter than lin and he didn't wait 20 games to realize this like Scott. I guess better late than never.
