This alarms me because Clowney was given a 9 month time frame, and it leads me to believe the size of his defect was large. The larger the defect, the smaller chance you have of returning to your former self.

Ok correction, this won't be like getting two draft picks next year...this might be getting a draft pick in 2016 lmao...earliest he could be healed is September from what it sounds like with a possibility he isn't ready

O man.... We focked up the top pick...

Not really, the shoddy field the Texans play on focked up the top pick....we couldn't have known he'd hurt himself like that and literally anyone else we picked could have had the same thing happen to them playing on a dangerous field.

Did you just compare JJ Watt to mere mortals?

Poor Clow-knee. Roger should let us redo the last 2 drafts since they were so terrible.

Don't jinx the man like that, can you even imagine what it would do to this franchise to have him go down like that?

this makes this statement that much more damning:

“If the cartilage defect is isolated and there is no other pathology in the knee, the success rate of microfracture surgery is very high in terms of getting a healthy tissue to grow,” Dugas said. “If there is associated meniscal damage or widespread arthritis, the success rate of microfracture surgery decreases."

Poor kid. He might get robbed of world class athleticism before he even gets going. Pulling for him.

this was one of the reasons i said the texans should not draft clowney.

he relies on his athleticism too much. if that goes.. he basically has nothing to fall back on.

Well it's good that some people are pulling for him, so many Texans fans aren't and it's really sad.

The schadenfreude is strong in this thread.

Sad day for this kid and the organization. Maybe he comes back maybe he doesn't. Can't blame O'Brien or Smith for drafting him...just about every GM in the league would have done the same.
