Was soooo not digging Dmo at the beginning of the year, felt he was weak sauce, but man has this guy totally changed my perspective of him stem to stern, his play, leadership, and attitude are tremendously different the last 5 weeks and I have a man crush on the dude now big time. I have to believe Dmo would be awesome to hang out with at the bar after a good game (by him), just seems like a genuinely fun guy to be around.

Great interview. You can see the confidence returning and he seems relaxed finally. Hope he can keep it up.

Lifting after games doesn't seem like good/healthy lol

Isn't that putting them at a higher risk of injuries?

I always thought D-Mo was a bit flaky, but he sure has proven to be one tough mother.

You can see it in his eyes, that steely look that says I will be coming after you until I beat you.

D-Mo's number are good, not great, but he does so many good things that do not show on the stat sheet. He is the opposite of Kevin Love, who for the lack of a better term, is a stats w**** (OK, maybe this is a bit mean and unfair).

D-Mo's evolution has been something to behold.

Dmo is a star in the making and I can't believe he is growing right before our eyes. He's our 3rd star we have been looking for when Dwight comes back healthy.

    Great interview, loved it!
So true about Pat - looks like the team is embracing this image.
I want more - would be an interesting one with Kostas.

The most important thing I got from that interview is that he genuinely has the passion for basketball.

He doesn't play basketball just because he is tall. He doesn't do it just for money or for fame. He plays because he loves the game and wants to be the best he can be at it.

And like all contemporary great players, he thinks flopping is not always wrong. ;)

    yes, me too.
Also, he said, that he seeks to reach his full potential. He is playing not for money, but he want to be best version of himself. He want to develop himself and reach max what he can possibly do. That is really important, because that mean he is not a "contract year" guy.
I think he is curious to see how far he can develop himself.

Yep, because he is lithuanian. During soviet occupation we had little or no ways to show our resistance. Just in sport arenas people could chant L-I-E-T-U-V-A (Lithuania), or "Žalgiris" (name of the biggest victorious medieval battle for lithuanians and their allies). Boiling point was reached when "Žalgiris" played for gold medals with healthy young Sabonis and Co against Central Sport Club of Red Army.
And even now basketball is a way for our small country and small nation to remind world that we still exist.
Sabonis and Marčiulionis after retirement established their own basketball schools. Kids got everything that was needed for their development. In one interview a journalist asked Sabonis, "...does he regret spending so much money on kids basketball?" Sabonis, as always, was prompt with his answer: "One doesn't regret money spent on his kids development." That was a touching, cause it showed a responsibility that older generation of players have for young ones.
That's a little inside why basketball is called a "second religion" in Lithuania. Sadly, due to economical reasons a lot lithuanians emigrated, numbers of population are declining and in future it might be difficult to sustain these traditions. Now we have JV's and DMo's generation, maybe we will be able to produce couple more good ones.
I hope, that DMo stays healthy and improves. That way he can become a serviceable NBA big man. Right now it's pretty fun to watch Rockets play. Team has a lot of talent and skills and potential :)

Just got through watching the Bucks game...their tv guys said he was Russian and early on said he wasn't a threat inside...of course, Dmo then went HAM on them in the post. :)
