If people are going to do drugs _ they are going to do drugs rather they are legal or not because they are easily accessible in this country... So those legitimate concerns are miniscule. mar1juana is the #1 cash crop in this country. It exceeds the combined value of corn ($23.3 billion), wheat ($7.5 billion), and artichokes ($53.7 billion)... And on top of that us tax payers are spending an estimated $20 billion a year to keep it outlawed when truthfully we're fighting a losing battle. That's why I say people are blind. Even if you don't use mar1juana you're still paying for it.

And if the government legalized mar1juana and handled it like alcohol it would put a huge dent in the criminal base in this country and they would probably crack down more on the other drugs to eliminate competition for their product.

Meh... I always utilize my right to vote but a majority of the time I just feel like I'm deciding between the lesser of two evils. Do I want to be shot or do I want to be stabbed... Many of us know what we want and sometimes it's up to those who we elect to tell us what we want. And they tell us we want mar1juana to be illegal because there is a lot of money being thrown around by pharmaceutical companies, big business prisons, and the drug cartels to keep it that way.

This isn't something that citizens should have to lobby the government for. The writing is on the wall and anyone can see it if they bother to read it... The problem is there are not enough people in high ranking positions like the police chief speaking out on what they already know (that the taxpayers are getting screwed)... But that's changing.

You would get a lot of unpaid fines. I doubt potheads pay their bills on time let alone tickets.

What's your definition of a pothead? How much, how frequently, etc.

keeping it illegal changes nothing. decriminalization is not the way to go as it still sends the same message.
