Personally, I'd rather beat a team that we most certainly could beat rather than get blown out by 60 points and be a laughing stock all over the country. With Beverly on Curry, Ariza on Thompson, Harden being Harden, and Dmo playing the way he has, I see no reason why we shouldn't win. But hey, if you want the national headline on the ESPN section to be "Warriors roll past Rockets by 30 points to make it a 14-win streak" then fine by me.

We're not at full strength either way. We're kind of missing our max contract center and half our bench.

Harden is injured. He needs to rest. We may lose with him. So why miss the opportunity to make sure your franchise player is 100%.

I just hope our chemistry remains solid once Dwight comes back.

I worry about this, I feel our pace is better when DMO is in the post. Way quicker in the post than Dwight is.

We were a much better and a more multi-dimensional offensive team when we were healthy than we are now.

we're gonna wake up one day and find out he needs microfracture surgery. It sounds like they're putting off some major procedure, hoping something changes, and so far nothing.

The Rockets’ hope that Dwight Howard could be close to returning from his strained right knee seemed to be fading.

While discussing Pat Beverley’s return from a strained left hamstring, Rockets coach Kevin McHale said “It would be nice to get everybody else back, but that won’t be happening any time soon.

McHale had previously said he hoped that Howard, who has been out since Nov. 19, might be ready to return in time to play on the Rockets’ road trip Wednesday and Thursday to play Golden State and Sacramento. Asked if he had a better feel for Howard’s timetable, he said again, “He won’t be back anytime soon.”

He also said he has not been given a prognosis on Kostas Papanikolaou, who suffered a Grade 1 knee sprain. That would usually keep a player out one to two weeks.

He will not be coming back any time soon, either,” McHale said. “You might as well ask me about the weather next week. I have no idea. Partly cloudy, baby.”

Guard Isaiah Canaan has been out since Nov. 28 with a sprained left ankle. Forward Terrence Jones has been out indefinitely since Nov. 4 with a nerve issue in his left leg.

You guys really have to stop posting that "not anytime soon" statement. That is not McHale's most recent statement on Dwight, as has been pointed out multiple times in this thread.

I like that D12 is getting valuable rest but this can't be just because he bumped knees....this has to be a sprain.

Pretty sure it's a sprained right knee.

You can't honestly think we are a better team offensively with Dwight and Terrence out can you? People double Dwight opening up looks for others. Everyone is still playing DMo as if he is still a scrub, that will change soon.

Dwight when you come back you need to stop that stupid goaltending bs. I feel if he grabbed the shot out of the air (hard to do, not for him) it wouldn't get called. But you have to let those 50-50 shots go. It's likely a miss anyways.

That's NOT official though. That's his own outlook.
